GOD'S WORD IS THE SWORD AND POWER AGAINST THE DECEPTION THAT IS COMING

The Word Of God. Are you in it each and every day ? Is it something you are drawn to and constantly read and re-read to gain your footing and bolster your faith ? Most importantly, “ ARE YOU SEEKING THE TRUTH THAT LETS YOU PERSEVERE AGAINT DECEPTION ?” It is an imperative question that we all must answer. There is a BIG difference between God’s Word and Perfect Instruction for our lives than defining yourself as a “Religious” person. There are a multitude of religions in the world, and in each of them we will find a variety of sects, denominations, traditions, and practices that vary quite widely. For Christians, the variety of things that are taught can be overwhelming. Religion often is shaped by culture rather than shaping culture itself by it’s basic foundations and beliefs. There are Christian churches that are so far apart in their basic doctrine that it is hard to believe they are even defined by the commonality of being “Christian”. Culture as the leading element produces change and continual restructuring of thought and belief. It makes it difficult at times to be labeled as a Christian except in only the broadest of terms. In our ultimate wisdom as mankind, we seek to define ourselves much more precisely and completely, lest there be any confusion. Did I say “Confusion” ? WITH GOD THERE IS NO CONFUSION ! GOD CREATED US. GOD IS THE COMPLETE POWER AND AUTHORITY WE LOOK TO FOR LIFE AND TRUTH. GOD NEVER CHANGES. HIS TRUTH IS CONSISTENT AND GOOD. HE IS RIGHTEOUS AND HOLY. HE WALKS IN THE LIGHT, NOT THE DARKNESS. HIS LAW AND GRACE WORK IN PERFECT BALANCE TO COMPLETE US AS HIS CHOSEN KINGDOM CITIZENS. God’s Word shows us right, and wrong. Truth, and deception.

WHO SHALL ASCEND THE HILL OF THE LORD ? AND WHO WILL STAND IN HIS HOLY PLACE ? HE WHO HAS CLEAN HANDS, AND A PURE HEART, WHO DOES NOT LIFT UP HIS SOUL TO WHAT IS FALSE AND DOES NOT SWEAR DECEITFULLY. HE WILL RECEIVE BLESSING FROM THE LORD AND RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM THE GOD OF HIS SALVATION. Psalm 24: 3-5

LET NO ONE DECEIVE YOU WITH EMPTY WORDS, FOR BECAUSE OF THESE THINGS THE WRATH OF GOD COMES UPON THE SONS OF DISOBEDIENCE. Ephesians 5:6

SEE TO IT THAT NO ONE TAKES YOU CAPTIVE BY PHILOSOPHY AND EMPTY DECEIT, ACCORDING TO HUMAN TRADITION, ACCORDING TO THE ELEMENTAL SPIRITS OF THE WORLD , AND NOT ACCORDING TO CHRIST. Colossians 2:8

When I look around the world today I see a lot of deception. I see deception in many people, institutions, and teaching. The deception is beginning to paralyze and confuse our basic understanding of things, like Right and Wrong; Truth and Lies, History and Fabrication, Scientific and Biological fact; Common Sense vs. Gut Emotionalism. So many things we count on have become vulnerable. Government, Institutions, Law and Order, Education, Basic Human Rights, Work Ethics, News, and perhaps most importantly, Church, God’s Ways, God’s Commandments, God’s Word…..even God Himself. So, is this a new thing ? No, sadly it is not, but if we truly look at where we are as God’s Creation, isn’t it time we begin to wake up ? Our whole life story sits in full view in the Bible. From our Creation, all the way to our date with Judgement. I can honestly say that only the Father knows how late the hour really is, but I do know that today we are one day closer to the return of our Savior, Lord, and King than we were yesterday. The return of the Messiah….I look upon it with pure Joy and Excitement ! I can’t wait to see Him, worship Him, talk to Him, be with Him. I want to be ready. I want to be prepared and matured. I want to be all I can be for Him. I want to be so deep in His Word and so Obedient and in such an Abiding spirit and presence that my heart beats fast with anticipation.

It is way past time for us to all be deep in God’s Word. It is the only place that we can find Truth, power, and authority. It will not come from sitting in church, listening to sermons, or reading books by Christian authors. Even the best and truest efforts of mankind fall short of God’s Glory. The word of God is your sword for surviving and thriving in life, especially in tumultuous times like these ! Second Thessalonians spells out in detail the 2nd coming of the Lord. It minces no words. It clearly reveals the importance of understanding God’s truth, and also reveals that many, many Christians will be deceived by the world, their own churches, and their lack of faith and understanding, resulting in a deception and even delusion for the unrighteous by God Himself. Please read it. It is sobering and it is real….and at the appointed time, It Is Coming ! Know that God loves you oh so very much. Know that God is righteous also, so He does require you to be committed to Him in the way you live. He is a God that simply asks us to abide in Him and seek His TRUTH. AND YOU WILL FIND HIS TRUTH IN HIS WORD ! YOU WILL FIND YOUR LIFE AND FUTURE IN HIS SON ! Or, you will be deceived….and perish.

THEREFORE, STAY AWAKE, FOR YOU DO NOT KNOW ON WHAT DAY YOUR LORD IS COMING. Matthew 24:22

BESIDES THIS YOU KNOW THE TIME, THAT THE HOUR HAS COME FOR YOU TO WAKE FROM SLEEP. FOR SALVATION IS NEARER TO US NOW THAN WHEN WE FIRST BELIEVED. THE NIGHT IS FAR GONE; THE DAY IS AT HAND. SO THEN, LET US CAST OFF THE WORKS OF DARKNESS AND PUT ON THE ARMOR OF LIGHT. LET US WALK PROPERLY AS IN THE DAYTIME, NOT IN ORGIES AND IN DRUNKENNESS, NOT IN SEXUAL IMMORALITY AND SENSUALITY, NOT IN QUARRELING AND JEALOUSY. BUT PUT ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND MAKE NO PROVISION FOR THE FLESH, TO GRATIFY ITS DESIRES. Romans 13: 11-14

“NOT EVERYONE WHO SAYS TO ME, “LORD, LORD, WILL ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, BUT THE ONE WHO DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN. “ Matthew 7:21

Gods Word is Your Truth. God’s Word is your Foundation. Stand on it and be Strong. Stand on it and Be Righteous. It is Instruction and Life. It is Your Sword and your Guide to Life In Christ :)
