IT IS TIME TO LET GOD'S WORD INSTRUCT YOU; THE HOLY SPIRIT REST UPON YOU, AND MATURE !

Where are you today as a Christian ? Are you Saved ? What does that mean to you ? Are you getting deeper into the Word Of God, or are you coasting ? Are you serving, or are you resting ? Are you Bold, or are you unsure ? Angry ? Joyful ? At Peace, or full of Anxiety ? Where should we be ? Does God truly provide us with the tools to answer our questions, or are we stuck trying to figure all these things out by ourselves ? Is the Word of God our only compass, or is the power and leading of the Holy Spirit more important today ? I believe that we truly must embrace both, and even more important, that we must understand that WE MUST MATURE IN OUR FAITH ! I think as believers there are two interesting things that we should contemplate today:

WHY DID GOD PROVIDE US SALVATION THROUGH JESUS ? ONCE WE HAVE BEEN SAVED WHAT SHOULD WE BE DOING ?

Each of us truly needs to look in the mirror and answer those questions. I give them as a starting point, for as you examine your life as a Christian. Admittedly, we all realize there are a myriad more questions that can be asked. Is there any better place to start than God’s truth ?

IN HIM (CHRIST) YOU ALSO, WHO HAVE HEARD THE WORD OF TRUTH, THE GOSPEL OF YOUR SALVATION, AND HAVE BELIEVED IN HIM, WERE SEALED WITH THE PROMISED HOLY SPIRIT, WHICH IS THE GUARANTEE OF OUR INHERITANCE UNTIL WE AQUIRE POSSESSION OF IT, TO THE PRAISE OF HIS GLORY. Ephesians 1:13-14

YET AMONG THE MATURE WE DO IMPART WISDOM, ALTHOUGH IT IS NOT A WISDOM OF THIS AGE OR OF THE RULERS OF THIS AGE, WHO ARE DOOMED TO PASS AWAY. BUT WE IMPART A SECRET AND HIDDEN WISDOM OF GOD, WHICH GOD DECREED BEFORE THE AGES FOR OUR GLORY. 1 Corinthians 2: 6

How amazing that our God has given us not only His Word, which instructs us perfectly in Wisdom for us to Understand Him, and to receive His Commandments, that direct us in practical and correct ways to behave and live our lives; He has also given us His Holy Spirit to rest upon us and guide us. The Holy Spirit also empowers us to move in our purpose and have authority once we have submitted to the Authority of God. It is a perfect Balance of sorts that allow us to MATURE. If we simply sit in a passive mode and remain immature, what questions will we truly have answered, and even more importantly, how will we serve the Kingdom of God ? We need to read and hear the word of God deeply all the time ! We need to seek the Holy Spirit to guide us and reveal God’s truth to us all the time !

At the very core of who we are in God, He has given us the answers to the two questions I asked you to ponder in both His Word, and His Holy Spirit.

WE ARE SAVED TO GIVE GOD 100% OF OUR WORSHIP. ONCE WE ARE SAVED, WE ARE TO BE REBORN, ABIDING IN CHRIST, MAKING DISCIPLES AND BEING CITIZENS OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

It is a starting point. It moves us into everything that makes us His. Having Relationship. Growing in Faith. Gaining Wisdom, Understanding and Discernment, Growing up. Changing. Seeking Him and beginning to Live Like Him. If you are sitting in the chair of your salvation and have not yet begun to move in purpose, then pray for the Holy Spirit to move you to action ! You are saved, and in that salvation you received the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will lead you into the Gifts and Anointing that God has planned for your life, but GROWTH IN CHRIST IS NOT PASSIVE ! You have to want it, and strive for it, and have passion for it. God is ready for His People to make a difference and the time is now. Are you Ready ? I am. I want to serve my Lord and King. I want to grow into a more mature man and believer. I want to make a difference as a Kingdom Citizen. Glory and Blessings await all who strive in His purpose :) Blessings/JAA
