YOUR FOUNDATION AND TRUTH WILL BE FOUND IN THE WORD OF GOD !

I woke up this morning thinking about how truly crazy things seem to be in the world today. Here in the United States, we are embroiled in an election season the likes of which I have never experienced before. The dislike and distrust within our citizenry has never been quite like it seems to be in this particular time period, and we all know that history shows us plenty of times when people were certainly not on the same page regarding anything in life. The big question in times like these is where do we go to find Foundational Truth that we can count on as a starting place ? So many voices spouting rhetoric and their viewpoints of right and wrong. Factual evidence, open observed actions, even spoken words seem to be “twisted” and “manipulated” to support any individual position that needs to be pushed and accepted as truth….even when it clearly is not. Several years ago God pulled me deeply into the Old Testament, or what I now refer to as the “Torah”. The Torah consists of the first five books of the Bible. Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. I have come to know these books as “God’s Perfect Instruction”, and “ God’s Guidance For Humankind” I am not Jewish by birth. I never visited a Jewish place of worship other than for an occasional funeral or bar mitzvah. My church referred to the Bible as the Old and New Testaments. I knew some basic things from Genesis and Exodus, but the other books did not really draw me in, nor was there a focus on them from the pulpit. The focus was on the New Testament and the Gospel. The focus was on Salvation. The focus was on Grace. My focus was on Jesus, and that is exactly where my focus also sits today….with one truly important understanding ! In my time spent in getting to know Jesus and as I moved from not only understanding that He was my Savior, but was also my Lord and King, I began to see things and feel things as He did also. I began to abide in Him, and He in me. The Holy Spirit began to move in me, and I began to seek deeper things, deeper truths, and a foundation to stand upon.

THEREFORE, THUS SAYS THE LORD GOD, “ BEHOLD, I AM LAYING IN ZION A STONE, A COSTLY CORNERSTONE FOR THE FOUNDATION, FIRMLY PLACED. HE WHO BELIEVES IN IT WILL NOT BE DISTURBED. Isaiah 28:16

FOR NO MAN CAN LAY A FOUNDATION OTHER THAN THE ONE WHICH IS LAID, WHICH IS JESUS CHRIST. 1 Corinthians 3:11

FOR THE WORD OF GOD IS ALIVE AND ACTIVE. SHARPER THAN ANY TWO EDGED SWORD, IT PENETRATES EVEN TO THE DIVINING SOUL AND SPIRIT, JOINTS AND MARROW; IT JUDGES THE THOUGHTS AND ATTITUDES OF THE HEART. Hebrews 4:12

Can you see it and feel it ? Can you feel the Power and Authority ? Can you feel the Guidance and Truth of it ? Gods Word is ALIVE IN YOU ! The Word Of God is where we begin, and where we find our strength. Leviticus and Deuteronomy are a perfect template for our individual lives as well as the societies in which we live. God has given us the Template and Truth for every single thing that we need as human beings to live in a whole. healthy, harmonious and free existence if we EMBRACE HIM AND HIS WORDS. It takes effort to Move In HIs Word ! Read it. Study it. Find deeper meanings. Contemplate it’s meaning. Seek understanding and wisdom from it. Let it mold you and re-make you. Let it move you to repentance in areas of your life that need change. Let it fill you with a need to share it and share Jesus. Use it as a pointer to find and see the truth. Use it as a sword against lies and all the enemy, satan, would put in your path and sow among others you care for. The world hates it, because the world deems itself to be on equal or above God Himself. You know better….do not be fooled by lies and half truths.

ALL THE PATHS OF THE LORD ARE LOVINGKINDNESS AND TRUTHTO THOSE WHO KEEP HIS COVENANT AND HIS TESTIMONIES. Psalm 25:10

O SEND OUT YOUR LIGHT AND YOUR TRUTH; LET THEM LEAD ME; LET THEM BRING ME TO YOUR HOLY HILL AND TO YOUR DWELLING PLACES. Psalm 43:3

THEREFORE LET US CELEBRATE THE FEAST, NOT WITH OLD LEAVEN, NOR WITH THE LEAVEN OF MALICE OR WICKEDNESS, BUT WITH THE UNLEAVENED BREAD OF SINCERITY AND TRUTH. 1 Corinthians 5:8

Do you see it now ? You have to become NEW. You have to place your trust in Jesus Christ and BE BORN AGAIN. You have to abide in Jesus, and understand that ALL JESUS WAS AND IS CAME FROM THE FATHER AS HE WALKED AS A MAN ON THE EARTH ! Jesus was constantly in the Torah, and the writings, and the prophets. The Word of His Father was HIS Foundation and Truth….and HIs Sword. So also, must it be mine and yours. We are in a big, wide, and tumultuous world, moving more and more in a destructive and ill advised manner. BUT JESUS IS OUR WAY AND OUR TRUTH AND OUR LIFE ! Walk away onto the Narrow Path and seek God Himself. Don’t become trapped in the consternation and hate of the society and tribal beliefs of those around you. I am not Jewish, but Jesus was. I am grafted in to the vine, and I am His. I am one of God’s chosen people. I will live in His Kingdom. and I will stand beside Him as a son of the most High God…..so will you if you choose to. Be blessed in these strange times, and truly seek God and His Word. It will ground you, and it will set you FREE ! Begin in Genesis and read through Deuteronomy. Find Truth/JAA

LET YOUR HEART THEREFORE BE WHOLLY DEVOTED TO THE LORD OUR GOD, TO WALK IN HIS STATUTES AND TO KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS AS AT THIS DAY 1 Kings 8:61

TEACH ME YOUR WAY , O LORD, I WILL WALK IN YOUR TRUTH, UNITE MY HEART TO FEAR YOUR NAME. Psalm 86:11

GOD IS FAITHFUL, THROUGH WHOM YOU WERE CALLED INTO FELLOWSHIP WITH HIS SON, JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. 1 Corinthians 1:9
