CHRIST MUST BE THE CENTER OF YOUR HOME

The importance of the home in our family life today cannot be overstated ! It is in our homes that values are shaped and solidified, morality and goodness are built, and most importantly where FAITH and GOD find their beginnings. In our world today and throughout history it has always been a struggle between the world and culture vs. God and Righteousness. I have seen it defined in multiple ways; Secularism vs. Religion; Progressivism vs. Traditional ideals; even Good vs. Evil. How we define it is not nearly as important as how we approach it. For a Christian family, Jesus MUST BE THE CENTER OF YOUR HOME ! It means that if you are single, you spend a significant amount of your time and focus building a personal relationship with Christ through God’s Word, Prayer, and a Commitment to Seek Him. Married couples should do the same, but also be building Jesus and His presence into every part of your relationships as spouses. That means understanding your roles as God’s word defines them for us. There are multiple places in the Scriptures where we can find truth and direction to define what these are. Ephesians, 1 Corinthians, Colossians, 1 Peter, 1 Timothy, Titus are but a few places to begin to build your foundation and understanding. How God Defines us is extremely different than the world. God encourages us to use our strengths to build each other up in encouragement and love, while the world prefers to create a competition on who is better or stronger. Perhaps the most important is in our place as Parents. It is here that we are shaping the future ! We need to be ENGAGED AND COMMITTED IN TIME AND PRESENCE to help our children embrace GOD and the life JESUS PROMISES all who believe in Him and Trust Him with their very being. A home with Christ at the Center provides an amazing foundation of STABILITY and DIRECTION as the storms of life swirl around us. Our children need that anchor of Hope and Trust to hang onto as things unfold. They learn that Jesus and The Holy Spirit are ALWAYS WITH THEM no matter what they encounter. They see that not only do they have a loving mother and father, but they have a FATHER IN HEAVEN WHO CREATED THEM AND LOVES THEM COMPLETELY for All Of Eternity ! They know their Beginning and Identity…and they know their Promise and Completeness.

LOVE IS PATIENT, LOVE IS KIND. IT DOES NOT ENVY, IT DOES NOT BOAST, IT IS NOT PROUD. IT DOES NOT DISHONOR OTHERS, IT IS NOT SELF SEEKING, IT IS NOT EASILY ANGERED, IT KEEPS NO RECORDS OF WRONGS. LOVE DOES NOT DELIGHT IN EVIL BUT REJOICES WITH THE TRUTH. IT ALWAYS PROTECTS, ALWAYS TRUSTS, ALWAYS HOPES, ALWAYS PERSEVERES. 1 Corinthians 13: 4-7

BUT I WANT YOU TO REALIZE THAT THE HEAD OF EVERY MAN IS CHRIST, AND THE HEAD OF WOMAN IS MAN, AND THE HEAD OF CHRIST IS GOD. 1 Corinthians 11:3

HE MUST MANAGE HIS FAMILY WELL AND SEE THAT HIS CHILDREN OBEY HIM, AND HE MUST DO SO IN A MANNER OF FULL RESPECT. 1 Timothy 3:4

CHILDREN, OBEY YOUR PARENTS IN THE LORD, FOR THIS IS RIGHT. “HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER-WHICH IS THE FIRST COMMANDMENT WITH A PROMISE. Ephesians 6: 1-2

Scripture has so many areas that focus on the necessity of a strong and vibrant relationship with God. From that relationship goodness and hope, rest and revitalization, path and purpose, and in finality Completion and Eternity are built. From a Christ Centered Home comes the POWER OF LOVE AND WISDOM that brings to completion one’s Love For God and also one’s Love For Fellow Man. How refreshing is it to see other people helping each other and caring for each other even when they are not even friends or acquainted ! It simply reflects that when GOD is in your Heart, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE ! A secular world will tell you that all I have written is meaningless. You can’t possibly build a strong home on your own. You need a community of wise people who rely on their own wisdom and understanding. You need to rely on self intellect and self sufficiency. Be Independent and defy your role and identity…build your own truth and purpose. Community is great, when God provided and purposed. Wisdom and discernment are critical, when they come from God. God shows us how to be strong while relying on Him. The Truth is that God gives us Purpose and Path if we simply seek Him and Ask For It :) Centering your Life and Your Home on Christ will give you all you desire if you embrace it ! Men, you need to be close to God and lead in whatever role and circumstance you find yourself in. Women, you are the support of all that is important, good, and needed in life. Children, as you grow up, aspire to be Godly men and women who bring hope and a bright Light to the future ! We are the children of the GOD MOST HIGH. May we all Honor Him, Love Him, Fear Him, and Seek Him each and every day.

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. John 3:16

I Believe in Jesus as my Lord, Savior, and King. I want Eternal Life and to be in God’s Kingdom. I want my life and heart centered on Jesus. I want a Home and Family that is centered upon Christ. I have an incredible wife that is also centered on Jesus. We have raised our kids to Love Jesus and have Him in their lives. It takes Faith and Reliance and God’s help to get there ! In our struggles and imperfection, Jesus always pulls us through ! I’m so Thankful :) I pray that God may bless you and direct you to be with Him and In Him !
