WHEN GOD'S MORALITY IS LOST
Looking at our world today it is easy to see that we have lost our moral compass. It used to be that the difference between moral thought and action vs. immoral thought and action was easy to define and differentiate between. Much of this defined difference came from a basic “Value System” that seemed to be shared by the majority of humanity. People had an innate “Caring” for each other that most often seemed to override petty differences. As a follower of Christ and a believer in God’s Word, I believe that we were created by God in His Image, and thus had a “goodness in us” that came directly from Him. We also know that the basic enemy of that goodness we have is sin. Sin and the weakness it creates in us can surely drive us away from God. History shows us multiple examples of what can happen when mankind loses their way and embraces immorality. Evil and hatred find a path and take full advantage of the need to be self ruling and self reliant. Gone are the basic Commandments of God…..replaced by the wickedness and arrogance of men. Selfish desires for “Power” and “Control” take over and create the dysfunctions of non communication and vicious disagreement that we see today. The condition has existed for a long time….perhaps it seems more vivid now because it seems to grow stronger and more evil as mankind evolves into an existence further and further away from God.
OWE NO ONE ANYTHING, EXCEPT TO LOVE EACH OTHER, FOR THE ONE WHO LOVES ANOTHER HAS FULFILLED THE LAW. FOR THE COMMANDMENTS, “YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, YOU SHALL NOT MURDER, YOU SHALL NOT STEAL, YOU SHALL NOT COVET,” AND ANY OTHER COMMANDMENT, ARE SUMMED UP IN THIS WORD; “YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.” LOVE DOES NO WRONG TO A NEIGHBOR, THEREFORE LOVE IS FULFILLING THE LAW. Romans 13:8-10
DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWAL OF YOUR MIND, THAT BY TESTING YOU MAY DISCERN WHAT IS THE WILL OF GOD, WHAT IS GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE AND PERFECT. Romans 12:2
WHOEVER WALKS IN INTEGRITY WALKS SECURELY, BUT HE WHO MAKES HIS WAYS CROOKED WILL BE FOUND OUT. Proverbs 10:9
THERE IS A WAY THAT SEEMS RIGHT TO A MAN, BUT ITS END S THE WAY TO DEATH. Proverbs 14:12
God makes it pretty clear in His Word how we are supposed to live, and how we are supposed to think. We are to be RENEWED ! We are to WALK IN INTEGRITY; seeking RIGHTEOUSNESS. Spend your time in God’s Word and you will get a Clear and Sure look at the many things that can turn one away from God. Placing one’s needs before others is a good place to start. Money, Greed, Envy, Superiority, The list goes on and on. Perhaps the best thing we can do is exactly what God tells us ! TEST EVERYTHING ! I guarantee you that if “LOVE” is absent from a practice, a purpose, or a path, it is NOT from God. If something creates Division, hatred, or evil, it is NOT from God. I am an American, I love my Country, but there are times when it is so easy to see how we are falling away from God today. God’s truths are discarded, replaced with blatant lies that are so obviously false, they become unbearably divisive. We argue and fight over things that are senseless while our citizens wander in homelessness and need. It makes me sick. and we are the lucky ones. Many countries are facing starvation and hopelessness that is hard to comprehend ! What are we to do ? WE STAND UP AND SHOW THE WORLD JUST WHO GOD IS AND SHARE HIM ! We share the HEART OF GOD with all we meet. We share HIS MORALITY AND RIGHTEOUSNESS ! WE SPEAK OUT AGAINST EVIL AND WRONGDOING. Evil is a vicious foe if no one stands against it.
THEREFORE TAKE UP THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD, THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND IN THE EVIL DAY, AND HAVING DONE ALL, TO STAND FIRM. Ephesians 6:13
BEHOLD, WE CONSIDER THOSE BLESSED WHO REMAIN STEADFAST. YOU HAVE HEARD OF THE STEADFASTNESS OF JOB, AND YOU HAVE SEEN THE PURPOSE OF THE LORD, HOW THE LORD IS COMPASSIONATE AND MERCIFUL. James 5:11
BE WATCHFUL, STAND FIRM IN THE FAITH, ACT LIKE MEN, BE STRONG. 1 Corinthians 16:13
Seek God and gain a better understanding about “Standing Firm” and how it relates to MORALITY AND LOVE. Understanding the “why” of things is often more important than the actual thought or action. When Jesus returns, HE WILL BE COMING IN SOLID RIGHTEOUSNESS AND TRUTH. Mankind’s trickery and falsehoods will have NO GROUND TO STAND ON. When God’s MORALITY is lost, CHAOS and EVIL will abound…..BUT THEY WILL NEVER OVERCOME THE POWER, AUTHORITY, AND LOVE OF GOD. Share God, Teach His Word, Walk in His Ways. BE LOVING AND YET BOLD. He is with us ALWAYS :) STAND/JAA
