THE TRUTH ABOUT OUR WORLD TODAY AND OUR CHRISTIAN ROLE

When I opened my eyes this morning, I felt a peace run through my mind and my spirit. America had once again had an election that showed just how divided we are as a nation on many many issues. Once again, our political sides pitted themselves against each other with rhetoric and trembling. Watching as the results unfolded and teeth gnashed as one’s side lost a legislative seat that was so important, an age old adage popped into my mind. “ The definition of INSANITY is doing the same things over and over and expecting a different result.” Funny, and Sad. Growing up as an American I think what I have always appreciated the most was the sense of FREEDOM, and also the sense of ONENESS. One big melting pot of people with many different backgrounds, circumstances, beliefs, and ideas, but willing to recognize each other as Americans. A bigger cause was simply Sticking Together through all our disagreements and ugliness. Slowly that has fallen away it seems. We are now mostly pitted against each other by a leadership and media that Promote Division and Differences. NO NEUTRAL GROUND OR COOPERATION. I used to really be bothered when the other side won. Now I’m Dismayed by What They Represent….and the Commonality isn’t one sided. It runs through ALL OFF THE ENTIRE SYSTEM. Guess what ! It always has ! SO HOW COULD I BE AT PEACE ??? Deep inside, I realized that God had matured me. The focus of my life has and is changing. My peace comes from the fact that my focus is on Christ and my future with Him. My focus is on the Kingdom Of God and Not on the World. I still spend some of my time in news feeds and opinion pieces, and I darned sure don’t bury my head in the sand. I don’t like Evil things or people, and I will ALWAYS STAND against them….but in reality, their power and meaning are temporary. They have been here always. Their evils will not change….but THEY are not EVER going to define ME and YOU as Followers Of Jesus. WE ARE HIS ! That Knowledge is what DEFINES US AND BRINGS US PEACE :)

BUT YOU ARE A CHOSEN RACE, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR HIS OWN POSSESSION, THAT YOU MAY PROCLAIM THE EXCELLENCIES OF HIM WHO CALLED YOU OUT OF THE DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELOUS LIGHT. 1 Peter 2:9

YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. A CITY SET ON A HILL CANNOT BE HIDDEN. Matthew 5:14

The world is a dark place indeed, but WE ARE THE LIGHT FROM GOD IF HE IS IN US AND WE IN HIM ! My peace this morning came from Him and the knowledge that HE LOVES ME, AND HAS A PURPOSE FOR ME THAT GOES MUCH DEEPER THAN THE MOMENT. He has Chosen Me as His Possession. I AM HIS. I exist in HIS LIGHT. The world with all it’s darkness WILL BE OVERCOME, and I Will See It Some Day. All the evil, All the lies, All the sin DEFEATED BY JESUS. Period. My purpose is to serve Him, and share Him with this dark world. Share His Love, and Champion His Righteousness right in the face of this darkness. God has long watched people reject Him, serving idols and other gods. God has watched mankind kill their babies, commit untold sins, and try to redefine His Truths and Ways. BUT HE IS MERCIFUL, AND HE IS RIGHTEOUS AND HOLY ! The gift to us of HIS SON JESUS is simply WONDROUS AND GOOD BEYOND MEASURE :) We are His Voice. We are His Hands And Feet. As Christians we should be focused on Him and Eternal Life, not the temporary things of our earthly life….But, using our efforts and time to SHINE HIS LIGHT in all our good works. ARE YOU SHINING HIS LIGHT, or simply living through the moments that consume each day ?

IN HIM WE HAVE OBTAINED AN INHERITANCE, HAVING BEEN PREDESTINED ACCORDING TO THE PURPOSE OF HIM WHO WORKS ALL THINGS ACCORDING TO THE COUNSEL OF HIS WILL. Ephesians 1:11

THE END OF THE MATTER; ALL HAS BEEN HEARD. FEAR GOD AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, FOR THAT IS THE WHOLE DUTY OF MAN. Ecclesiastes 12":13

GO THEREFORE AND MAKE DISCIPLES OF ALL NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Matthew 28:19

So, Where should our Real Focus Be ? On The Father, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. On the Kingdom Of God. Living Our Lives in a Kingdom Principled Way. In Righteousness. Fearing God. Confessing Our Sins and Repenting from them. Shining a Light into the darkness and Making Disciples. TO ALL NATIONS ! Taking the focus Off Of Ourselves and reaching out to others all around the world. Praying for their nations and circumstances. Loving our neighbors as ourselves. HOW ? Get moving and do something. Get moving and serve God’s Purpose. Help someone in need. Support and Orphanage in Kenya ( Emmanne Ministry). Give someone hope and encouragement. Hand out some Bibles and share God’s Word. Give to others from what you have. Build a house in Tijuana Mexico with YWAM ( My Incredible Wife last week ) ! Pray for those you disagree with, with a loving heart., that they may see God’s ways and Truth. We All Have A Role And Purpose as Christians who Belong To Christ. SEEK GOD, AND YOU WILL FIND PEACE….JESUS PROMISES US THAT :) SHINE LIGHT EVERYWHERE/JAA

I HAVE SAID THESE THINGS TO YOU, THAT IN ME YOU MAY HAVE PEACE. IN THE WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATION. BUT TAKE HEART, I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD. John 16:33
