MAKING A DIFFERENCE BY THE REFLECTION OF CHRIST IN YOUR LIFE

For the majority of people, our day often begins in front of a mirror. Disheveled from a night of sleep, we begin our daily routine of washing our face, shaving, brushing teeth. Combing our hair, for a lot of women, putting on makeup or skin cream. Dressing in our daily clothing and making sure we look put together. Staring in the mirror is pretty simple in that sense, but our reflection in that mirror will often go into much deeper things, and often leads to thoughts both uplifting and also of a darker or sadder note. As we look in the mirror, we see first and foremost our Flesh, and all it holds and hides. That reflection of how we see ourselves can truly have a massive impact on how we live and how we approach others, as well as shape our future. Sometimes the mirror casts a vision of satisfaction, contentment, and happiness. Other times it may reflect fear, uncertainty, or hopelessness. Thankfulness or anger. Completeness or turmoil. As we look at ourselves, our reflections based on our circumstances can change often. Tossed about like sand in the ocean’s surf, or leaves in the wind. We look ourselves in the eye and wonder….what will this day hold for us ? Perhaps the most important thing we should be focused on is this : DO WE SEE THE REFLECTION OF JESUS ABIDING IN US AS WE EXAMINE OUR FACE, OUR MND, OUR EMOTIONS, AND OUR HEART ? Do we see Christ in our reflection and more importantly perhaps, DO OTHERS SEE CHRIST IN US ?

WE ALL, WITH UNVEILED FACES, ARE LOOKING AS IN A MIRROR AT THE GLORY OF THE LORD AND ARE BEING TRANSFORMED INTO THE SAME IMAGE FROM GLORY TO GLORY; THIS IS FROM THE LORD WHO IS THE SPIRIT. 2 Corinthians 3:18

AS IN WATER FACE RELECTS FACE, SO THE HEART OF MAN REFLECTS MAN. Proverbs 27:19

DO NOT LIE TO ONE ANOTHER, SINCE YOU HAVE PUT OFF THE OLD SELF WITH IT PRACTICES AND PUT ON THE NEW SELF. YOU ARE BEING RENEWED IN THE KNOWLEDGE ACCORDING TO THE IMAGE OF YOUR CREATOR. Colossians 3:9-10

BUT BE DOERS OF THE WORD, AND NOT HEARERS ONLY, DECEIVING YOURSELVES. FOR IF ANYONE IS A HEARER OF THE WORD AND NOT A DOER, HE IS LIKE A MAN WHO LOOKS INTENTLY AT HIS NATURAL FACE IN A MIRROR. FOR HE LOOKS AT HIMSELF AND GOES AWAY AND AT ONCE FORGETS WHAT HE WAS LIKE. BUT THE ONE WHO LOOKS INTO THE PERFECT LAW, THE LAW OF LIBERTY, AND PERSEVERES, BEING NO HEARER WHO FORGETS, BUT A DOER WHO ACTS, HE WILL BE BLESSED IN HIS DOING. James 1: 22-25

In a mirror, we can see our flesh with all it’s imperfections. We can see all the things that make us human. LOOK DEEPER. “ I see myself Jesus, But do I also see YOU ?” Are you abiding so beautifully within me that I can go past the Physical and see the Spiritual ? DO I SEE MYSELF AS A NEW CREATION WITH A HEART AND LIFE FOR YOU ? WHEN I WALK OUT MY DOOR< WILL PEOPLE SEE YOU IN ME ? These are the critical questions that we need to ask ourselves and be willing to face the TRUTH ! If we are only hearers of God’s Voice then WE MUST CHANGE AND MATURE. Jesus gives us the command to SEEK HIM AND HIS KINGDOM, and most importantly SHARE HIM AND HIS KINGDOM WITH EVERYONE WE MEET ! We are disciples and ambassadors for GOD and HIS KINGDOM. We must REFLECT JESUS and His Image, Love, and Countenance everywhere we go. No More Hypocrisy ! No more False Belief and Faith. The reflection of Jesus is ALL LOVING AND ALL POWERFUL. His reflection brings Hope, Peace, and Authority into a lost world. The church and so many Christians are willing to water down or change God and His Word today to not risk calling out and admonishing the culture and its many false and destructive narratives today ! Our Deepest Desire must be TRUTH and LOVE in our REFLECTION of the amazing GOD WE SERVE AND GLORIFY.

NOT TO US, O LORD, NOT TO US, BUT TO YOUR NAME GIVE GLORY, FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR STEADFAST LOVE AND YOUR FAITHFULNESS. Plalm 115:1

IN THE SAME WAY, LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE BEFORE OTHERS, SO THAT THEY MAY SEE YOUR GOOD WORKS AND GIVE GLORY TO YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN. Matthew 5:16

AND WHATEVER YOU DO, IN WORD OR IN DEED, DO EVERYTHING IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, GIVING THANKS TO GOD THE FATHER THROUGH HIM. Colossians 3:17

Are we making a difference by reflecting Jesus in our lives ? Are we sending out the right values, behaviors, and attitudes in our daily lives ? Are we honest and truthful ? Are we lifting up others and even in admonishment reflecting a Complete Love for them ? Are we standing strong in God’s Word and Commandments ? HOW WE REFLECT CHRIST IN OUR WORDS AND ACTIONS ARE TRULY NOTICED ! People DO SEE US. People DO TAKE NOTE OF US. When Christ is reflected by us, they see love and humility. They see Faith and endurance. They see Truth and Belief. THAT REFLECTION WILL CHANGE THE WORLD ! It will open other’s eyes and hearts to all the promises that God has for His People:). I WANT TO SHOW AND SHARE GOD WITH THE WORLD. I am far from perfect in myself. I have flaws and weaknesses that are so frustrating, and yet I HAVE HOPE AND JOY. Jesus is IN ME ! HE LOVES ME ! I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW HIM AND FEEL HIS LOVE AND FULNESS IN THEIR LIFE. My prayer is that ALL may KNOW HIM:). Once you do, REFLECT HIS PRESENSE IN YOUR LIFE ! BE HIS RELECTION TO THE WORLD/JAA

WHOEVER SPEAKS, AS THE ONE WHO SPEAKS ORACLES OF GOD; WHOEVER SERVES, AS ONE WHO SERVES BY THE STRENGTH GOD SUPPLIES- IN ORDER THAT IN EVERYTHING GOD MAY BE GLORIFIED THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. TO HIM BELONG GLORY AND DOMINION FOREVER AND EVER, AMEN. 1 Peter 4:11
