RESTING IN CHRIST IS THE KEY TO A COMPLETE LIFE.

How would you define a “Complete Life” ? There are many ways to approach that question, as well as a myriad of areas one could define as priorities or of extreme importance. From a worldly point of view they mostly revolve around material things or personal circumstances. Where you live, your vocation, your financial condition, family and friends. Your interests, hobbies, pleasures and passions. All these things are important, but there are two key things one must contemplate in examining these things in my experience. These things focus on “self” and the “world”, and for the most part they are always in flux. They constantly change, subject to a variety of variables that can at times be uncontrollable. Focusing on these things and the uncertainty that comes with them almost never give us a complete rest. By nature they make us feel somewhat unsettled. Over time I have found that the only TRUE REST comes when you give all the uncertainties in life to God. Jesus made it so clear to us that TRUE REST comes when you GIVE YOUR LIFE TO HIM ! Allowing self reliance to take a back seat to His path and purpose for your life. Letting HIS WILL define Who, What, and Where you will be. God’s Word speaks clearly to this process.

COME TO ME, ALL WHO LABOR AND ARE HEAVY LADEN, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST. TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU, AND LEARN FROM ME, FOR I AM GENTLE AND LOWLY IN HEART, AND YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. FOR MY YOKE IS EASY, AND MY BURDEN IS LIGHT. Matthew 11: 28-30

DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING, BUT IN EVERYTHING BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION WITH THANKSGIVING LET YOUR REQUESTS BE KNOWN TO GOD. AND THE PEACE OF GOD, WHICH SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING , WILL GUARD YOUR HEARTS AND YOUR MINDS IN JESUS CHRIST. Philippians 4:6-7

FOR I WILL SATISFY THE WEARY SOUL. AND EVERY LANGUISHING SOUL I WILL REPLENISH. Jeremiah 31:25

PEACE I LEAVE WITH YOU; MY PEACE I GIVE TO YOU. NOT AS THE WORLD GIVES DO I GIVE TO YOU. LET NOT YOUR HEARTS BE TROUBLED, NEITHER LET THEM BE AFRAID. John 14:27

When I read these scriptures, one thing seems abundantly clear to me. I don’t need to carry all the things that life sends my way alone ! Jesus is right there with me, asking me to let Him carry the load. He simply asks for me to Trust Him, Give Him my Life and Heart, and Believe that He is MY LORD, SAVIOR, AND KING. I take off “SELF”, and take on “HIS YOKE”. I give my life to Him, knowing that my sins are forgiven, and I am a citizen of HIS KINGDOM. I give up anxiety, doubt, fear, worry, and endless toil……for REST AND PEACE. WOW. When I look at the state of the world today, it is easy to worry. It is easy to become angry and wonder “Whats coming our way next ?” Another year of illness ? More division among people ? Maybe wars or civil unrest ? Our world just seems to need chaos and continual disagreement. I see the news. I hear the rhetoric. I sense the conflict. But it doesn’t define my life, because I put my Faith and Hope in Christ. He is my Lord and Redeemer. Jesus is my WAY AND TRUTH AND LIFE. I don’t fear death because I HAVE ETERNAL LIFE IN JESUS. Even more incredibly I have a relationship with Him that opens me up to the Father, and allows me to be filled with The Holy Spirit. I REST IN HIM, and that rest COMPLETES MY LIFE. Jesus brings me Peace and Joy and Blessings. Jesus brings me Strength, and Resolve. He allows me to be Authentic and Bold in so many areas and relationships in my life.

BUT THEY WHO WAIT FOR THE LORD SHALL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH; THEY SHALL MOUNT UP WITH THE WINGS LIKE EAGLES; THEY SHALL RUN AND NOT BE WEARY; THEY SHALL WALK AND NOT FAINT. Isaiah 40:31

BLESSED BE THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST ! ACCORDING TO HIS GREAT MERCY, HE HAS CAUSED US TO BE BORN AGAIN TO A LIVING HOPE THROUGH THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST FROM THE DEAD. 1 Peter 1:3

I feel so humbled that God would allow His Son to die for me, that I might be forgiven all my sins and have Eternal Life in His Kingdom. What an INCREDIBLE GIFT ! Contemplate It ! It is truly Miraculous. MERCY AND GRACE in its truest form. A LIFE OF REST AND PEACE…A LIFE OF COMPLETENESS. It is waiting for all of us. Seek Jesus and Give Him your Life. Put your life in His Hands and BECOME COMPLETE IN HIM !
