GOD WANTS TO BE ACTIVE IN OUR LIVES RIGHT NOW !

It has really hit me lately how much God wants His people to be active RIGHT NOW ! Not tomorrow, or the day after. Not next week when I feel more like it, or my circumstances change. No. He wants us Doing Things Today. He wants us living, believing, and walking in the IDENTITY HE HAS GIVEN US. He wants us to project Him in who we are and what we do. He wants us to contemplate where we are, and understand the CONSEQUENCES OF OUR DECISIONS and perhaps even more importantly the CONSEQUENCES OF OUR INDECISION. I truly believe that God wants us out there showing people WHO HE IS ! That means taking action. It is very important to spend time in God’s Word, and equipping oneself with knowledge and discernment and wisdom, but if YOU are not using those things to be ACTIVE in sharing, growing, and striving for HIS KINGDOM, then what is the point ? Jesus spent His time sharing the KINGDOM OF GOD. Have you taken time to truly ponder what He focused on, and taken His Words into your mind and heart to wrestle with, contemplate, and be compelled to a course of action for your life ? HEAR HIM.

JESUS ANSWERED, “ I AM THE WAY, AND THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME. John 14:6

That’s right. JESUS is telling us that He alone is OUR PATHWAY to the Father He is the TRUTH we need to count on and seek. HE IS LIFE. Our source of life. We need to see HIM AS OUR EVERYTHING. This means seeking Him all the time ACTIVELY. Not sitting in some church pew, or being busy with our own created missions and ideas. No. It means gaining an understanding right at the center of your life to KNOW WHY HE IS THE WAY AND TRUTH AND LIFE FOR YOU !

BUT SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD, SEEK HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND ALL ELSE SHALL BE GIVEN UNTO YOU. Matthew 6:33

Are you seeking His Kingdom ? Do you actually ponder His Kingdom ? What will it be like, and what will your role be in His Kingdom ? Have you realized that YOU HAVE A ROLE TO REIGN WITH HIM ? Scripture tells us that ( Revelation 20:4-6). No clouds to sit on and play your harp…no, Christ has made you to be ACTIVELY REIGNING WITH HIM :)

JESUS REPLIED. “LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ THIS IS THE FIRST AND GREATEST COMMANDMENT. AND THE SECOND IS LIKE IT: ‘LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS HANG ON THESE TWO COMMANDMENTS. Matthew 22:37-40

Are we truly spending time showing God how much we love Him ? I know that my wife Julie is the Love of My Life as a man. I love being with her, talking to her, doing activities and chores with her. Holding her, thinking about her, missing her when we are apart. Those things define relationship and Love. God wants those same things that He has placed in our hearts to value. GIVE HIM YOUR TIME AND LOVE ! Oh, and also, look around you. There are so many people who need our love. A prayer, a word of encouragement. A hand up, your time, your help. Give yourself GENEROUSLY to others and they will see Christ In and Through You

“COME FOLLOW ME”, JESUS SAID, “AND I WILL SEND YOU OUT TO FISH FOR PEOPLE.” Matthew 4:19

Wow ! Can you imagine what those words must have sounded like to the Apostle Peter ! Who is this man telling me to drop my nets and follow Him ? I’m in debt. I have a family to feed. I’m a fisherman who can’t catch enough fish ! I’m exhausted, I have challenges. Life under the Roman Government is harsh and dangerous. What do you mean, “ Fish For People ?” How ? Why ? AND PETER DROPPED HIS NETS, AND LEFT EVERYTHING BEHIND AND FOLLOWED JESUS. Sound Crazy ? Well, here is the TRUTH. There is a whole big world of people out there that don’t know Jesus. Caught up in life, circumstances, self, that are SO IN NEED of God and His Love. A hope for their future, and something that is more real and meaningful than where they are. YOU HAVE THE POWER TO CHANGE LIVES THROUGH CHRIST. YOUR TESTIMONY WILL BRING A HARVEST OF PEOPLE TO GOD’S KINGDOM.

If you are a true follower of Jesus, then it is time to GET ACTIVE in your walk with God. YOU ARE A NEW CREATION. We are asked by our God to make a difference. We are to bring Light into the Darkness. That means going into the darkness and dealing with all it conceals. We all have broken parts in who we are, but those things are born anew in Jesus. Your perfection and path lies in HIM IN YOU AND YOU IN HIM. Genuine, Real, Authentic, Resolute, Committed, Working through things, falling down and getting up, listening to His voice, Seeking Him, Needing Him, Trusting Him…..Resting in Him ! Know that You Can and Will make a difference if you stand up and get busy. SHARE THE GOSPEL and LIVE FOR CHRIST. Today is your chance to become all you can be. Go and make a difference for others and also for yourself. Be Blessed/JAA
