SO MANY VOICES....WHICH ONES ARE YOU LISTENING TO ?

Our world today is certainly not short of voices that seek to inform us, educate us, and perhaps also manipulate us. They are everywhere, and for the most part they are extremely loud. In the past, many voices had solid infromtiion and generally had people’s best interest in mind. Basic information was available on a variety of topics that helped us structure our lives and resulting decisions. Most of these voices were measured, willing to accept many points of view, and had a generally civil tone and posture toward conflicting viewpoints. Sadly, as the voices got louder and louder there was a not so subtle shift. Discourse and opinion became centered on proving a point regardless of facts, truth or differing thoughts. Alas, herin lies much of the sad state we find ourselves in today as the human race. Man’s Voice has gotten TOO LOUD AND TOO CENTERED ON SELF! Amazing thing though, GOD’S VOICE IS OFTEN SO QUIET THAT ONE TRULY HAS TO DISENGAGE WITH THE LOUDNESS SURROUNDING US TO HEAR IT. BUT MAKE NO MISTAKE, THE VOICE OF GOD IS POWERFUL AND MAJESTIC TO PEOPLE WHO SEEK HIS KINGDOM. God’s voice is a special voice indeed and is absolutely critical that we, as followers of Jesus, understand why it guides our life and our path.

A PSALM OF DAVID. ASCRIBE TO THE LORD, O HEAVENLY BEINGS, ASCRIBE TO THE LORD GLORY AND STRENGTH. ASCRIBE TO THE LORD THE GLORY TO HIS NAME; WORSHIP THE LORD IN THE SPLENDOR OF HOLINESS. THE VOICE OF THE LORD IS OVER THE WATERS; THE GLORY OF GOD THUNDERS, THE LORD, OVER MANY WATERS. THE VOICE OF THE LORD IS POWERFUL; THE VOICE OF THE LORD IS FULL OF MAJESTY. THE VOICE OF THE LORD BREAKS THE CEDARS; THE LORD BREAKS THE CEDARS OF LEBANON. Psalm 29:1-11

MY SON, IF YOU RECEIVE MY WORDS AND TREASURE UP MY COMMANDMENTS WITH YOU MAKING YOUR EAR ATTENTIVE TO WISDOM AND INCLINING YOUR HEART TOWARD UNDERSTANDING: YES, IF YOU CALL OUT FOR INSIGHT AND RAISE YOUR VOICE FOR UNDERSTANDING, IF YOU SEEK IT LIKE SILVER AND SEARCH FOR IT AS FOR HIDDEN TREASURES, THEN YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THE FEAR OF THE LORD AND FIND THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD. YOU SHOULD WALK AFTER THE LORD YOUR GOD AND FEAR HIM AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS AND OBEY HIS VOICE, AND YOU SHOULD SERVE HIM AND HOLD FAST TO HIM. Deuteronomy 13:4

God’s Word is His direct voice and instruction for our lives. His Word addresses all of our needs and also gives us a multitude of actions we need to take and must take if we are to live an ABUNDANT LIFE. As scripture so often states, God is always FOR US. He desires us to have a prosperous and blessed life, but with those blessings comes responsibility. We are to be in the world, but not of it. We are to SEEK GOD’S KINGDOM. We are to ABIDE IN CHRIST AND LIVE RIGHTEOUSLY AND JUSTLY. Our connection with God The Father is through a Personal Relationship with Jesus, and Guidance by The Holy Spirit that fills us when we Abide In Christ. The beauty of our relationship is that it sets us FREE to have straight forward communication though our prayer as we share our lives with the Holy Trinity of The Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.

BE CAREFUL FOR NOTHING; BUT IN EVERYTHING BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION WITH THANKSGIVING LET YOUR REQUESTS BE KNOWN TO GOD. AND THE PEACE OF GOD WHICH PASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING, SHALL KEEP YOUR HEARTS AND MINDS THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. Philippines 4:6-7

SEEK THE LORD AND HIS STRENGTH; SEEK HIS PRESENCE CONTINUALLY. 1 Chronicles 16:11

And what of the voice of the world? It seems like it is constantly changing. It seems to have trouble determining Truth vs. Lies. Reality vs. Illusion. The voices of the world are many, and they find their strength and inspiration in Self reliance and Self glorification. These voices try to divide us and condemn us. These voices tell us how broken we are and how we need to suffer in the image of self, and we must make our image into Their Image of us. Their voices live in anger, hypocrisy, and a HATE for who we are and deep down who they are as well…Does that seems too strong of a statement? I don’t think so. I am so THANKFUL for GOD’S VOICE telling me I am MADE IN HIS IMAGE! I AM LOV BY HIM AND MY LIFE IS ETERNAL AS A BELIEVER AND CITIZEN OF HIS KINGDOM. :) I beseech you to Turn Off The World, and put your trust in Jesus Christ. Focus on Hearing His Voice! It is truly the only one that matters. LISTEN FOR HIS VOICE/JAA
