A FOCUS ON YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD AND SEEKING HIM IN YOUR LIFE

2/28/2021

When you look at your life from a spiritual viewpoint, do you find yourself focused on LISTENING to God and UNDERSTANDING His Ways and Desires for you, or are you focused more on yourself; your desires and the voice of the world around you ? It is a big question that is important for us to ask ourselves quite often. How many times do we find ourselves plotting and planning our lives and our next steps, when God makes it very clear that if we are truly His, He has our paths and steps in His Hands. That is the journey that every true follower of Christ must take. Trust, love, and obedience to God, or self guidance and self centered wisdom and action. Scripture gives us a very clear truth on this part of our lives, and like so many other “ Changes” that must take shape when we abide in the Salvation and Lordship of Jesus, this one requires a deeper commitment and perseverance. His love for us makes us want to be different. To have a heart that seeks to be ever closer to Him. To live a life that wants a deeper relationship with God, and feels His presence in all aspects of our life. Our blessings, our joy, our struggles, and our pain. Our Salvation comes from Jesus alone, and not our efforts. We are dead in our sin, but we are reborn in Him. Our life is in Christ. We put our life in His Hands because He knocks at our Heart’s door. The gift is when we open that door and let Him in. Only then can our lives be complete.

BUT DON’T JUST LISTEN TO GOD’S WORD. YOU MUST DO WHAT IT SAYS. OTHERWISE, YOU ARE ONLY FOOLING YOURSELVES. FOR IF YOU LISTEN TO THE WORD AND DON’T OBEY, IT IS LIKE GLANCING AT YOUR FACE IN A MIRROR. YOU SEE YOURSELF, WALK AWAY, AND FORGET WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE. James 1:22-24

DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWAL OF YOUR MIND, THAT BY TESTING YOU MAY DISCERN WHAT IS THE WILL OF GOD, WHAT IS GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE AND PERFECT. Romans 12:2

HERE IS A CALL FOR THE ENDURANCE OF THE SAINTS, THOSE WHO KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS OF GOD AND THEIR FAITH IN JESUS. Revelation 14:12

The Word of God is telling us that our Salvation lies in Jesus alone, and that only through Him may we have a renewed relationship with the Father. Once we are saved, we abide in Jesus and strive to follow God’s commandments in how to live, focused on living the way Jesus showed us and instructed us to. Are you focused on God, or are you forgetting “Whose You Are”, and in essence spending time conforming to and making efforts to seek the things and desires of the world. We see God’s ways, but without true commitment in time and effort, we invariably lose the true path and purpose that His Love and Grace Has Given Us ! IF WE TRULY WANT TO ABIDE IN CHRIST, WE MUST BE OBEDIENT TO HIM AND WALK WITH HIM ! Our obedience starts with a zeal to see who He is, and hear what He says. We are Saved. Now is the time to earnestly seek where that takes us.

I AM THE VINE; YOU ARE THE BRANCHES . WHOEVER ABIDES IN ME AND I IN HIM HE IT IS THAT BEARS MUCH FRUIT, FOR APART FROM ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING. John 15:5

I HAVE BEEN CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST. IT IS NO LONGER I WHO LIVE, BUT CHRIST WHO LIVES IN ME. AND THE LIFE I NOW LIVE IN THE FLESH I LIVE BY FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD, WHO LOVED ME AND GAVE HIMSELF FOR ME. Galatians 2:20

Are you focused on God ? Just a little, or a lot ? Is your relationship with Jesus something you desire above all else in your life, or do other things and priorities crowd Him out ? If you make the effort to focus on God and seek Him, you will be changed. Your heart will be made new. You will be reborn. Everything in your earthly life won’t be made perfect and prosperous. In fact, you will probably be persecuted and disliked even. You might be mocked and vilified. But you will be in God’s Hands. You will be His, and a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven. Eternally. in His presence. My prayer is for your heart to desire it above all else, SEEK HIM/JAA

AND THIS IS THE TESTIMONY : GOD HAS GIVEN US ETERNAL LIFE, AND THIS LIFE IS IN HIS SON. 1 JOHN 5:11
