THE BLOOD OF JESUS CLEANSES AND ALSO CHANGES YOU.

When I look at Jesus, I see so many things that I am thankful for. He has given me a new life and relationship with God the Father through His death on the cross. His resurrection has allowed me to overcome the sureness of death, as my sins, past, present, and future have been forgiven. He took on every sin of the entirety of mankind on the cross, and the shedding of His Blood truly washed away all of iniquity, cleansing all who call Him Lord. The Blood of Jesus purifies us and allows us to be in perfect relationship with God. The Blood of Jesus also brings us power in our prayers and Spiritual Gifts as we call upon His Blood to protect, heal, purify and guide us. Indeed, His Blood that was shed for us has given us Life !

IN HIM WE HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RICHES OF GOD’S GRACE. Ephesians 1:7

HOW MUCH MORE, THEN, WILL THE BLOOD OF CHRIST, WHO THROUGH THE ETERNAL SPIRIT OFFERED HIMSELF UNBLEMISHED TO GOD, CLEANSE OUR CONSCIENCES FROM ACTS THAT LEAD TO DEATH, SO THAT WE MAY SERVE THE LIVING GOD. Hebrews 9:14

The Blood of Jesus is the ultimate Gift of Grace from God that truly gives us the opportunity to move beyond sin. The question becomes, how will we use that grace and cleansing ? When we look at our life will we simply accept our cleansing and His grace as a singular event, or will we realize His Blood means we must be different than we were before our salvation ? His Blood gives us a new life. A changed life. His Blood is powerful to move us into an abiding existence in Him, and His Blood is alive in us ! All of us are called to be Priests in the Kingdom of God. Going forth as ambassadors of Our King, and we move in the power and change that the Blood of Jesus provides us. We live in the amazing instruction of God that lives in His Commandments imprinted on our hearts. We are in a covenant relationship with Him, and that means an agreement to obey and live out the requirements that covenant by following it’s tenants.

AND ALL ARE JUSTIFIED FREELY BY HIS GRACE THROUGH THE REDEMPTION THAT CAME BY JESUS CHRIST. GOD PRESENTED CHRIST AS A SACRIFICE OF ATONEMENT, THROUGH THE SHEDDING OF HIS BLOOD-TO BE RECEIVED BY FAITH. HE DID THIS TO DEMONSTRATE HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, BECAUSE IN HIS FORBEARANCE HE HAD LEFT THE SINS COMMITTED BEFOREHAND UNPUNISHED. Romans 3: 24-25

IN THE SAME WAY, AFTER THE SUPPER HE TOOK THE CUP, SAYING, “THIS CUP IS THE NEW COVENANT IN MY BLOOD, WHICH IS POURED OUT FOR YOU. Luke 22:20

THIS IS MY BLOOD OF THE COVENANT, WHICH IS POURED OUT FOR MANY FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS. Matthew 26:28

Understanding the Blood of Jesus is a crucial piece of one’s maturation in their walk, their faith, and their ability to share the Gospel. Spend time in meditation and truly contemplate how Jesus has impacted you personally. What has His Blood cleansed from your life ? How has being cleansed changed you ? Do you understand and are you using the power of His Blood to seek or produce things through prayer or personal efforts ? As I sit watching our world currently going through some amazingly difficult times I know in my heart that true answers for civility and relational healing will only come from the wisdom, character and heart of God. It will take an acknowledgement and commitment to the importance of God as the center of our lives. It will take a move away from the polarized opining that so divides us into “tribes” full of differences and hatred and instead toward the appreciation for each other as God’s creation. Different as individuals and yet a perfect fit as living stones in the body of Christ. May the Blood of Jesus cleanse you, and move you forward into a new life and purpose, sealed in His Blood, His Promise, and His Love :) Be made anew/JAA
