A TALE OF TWO SALVATIONS. GOD'S, OR THE WORLD'S ?

God created mankind and must have been so disappointed to see how iniquity and sin changed all He had intended for His creation to be, and how His relationship with them, and us changed in the moment the serpent deceived Eve and also Adam. Indeed, when the angels lead by satan decided to challenge God in a heavenly war, it began the process of the fall from heaven of satan and his fellow angels. Deceived by the lust and coveting of being Gods, they were defeated and cast out of God’s presence. Many scholars have studied the timeframes of these events, and there is a belief that the fall of the angelic host was likely in a pre-adamite age. It is a complicated topic, and has both explained and perplexed Christians for many many years. My intent is not to debate the premise, but rather to open our eyes to Salvation. One thing I believe clearly is that God recognized that satan would try his best to fight and destroy anything that God created or purposed. By deceiving mankind and damaging the relationship between God and us, a plan for Eternal Salvation became a necessity for God to bring mankind back into His Kingdom. His plan was Jesus. Jesus’s divine birth into mankind, with a time on earth, building relationships and spreading the truth of God’s Word, and teaching and showing the Heart and Kingdom of God to mankind through Himself. His ultimate death and resurrection was God’s plan from the very beginning.

FOR THE SON OF MAN HAS COME TO SEEK AND SAVE THAT WHICH WAS LOST. Luke 19:10

FOR OUR CITIZENSHIP IS IN HEAVEN, FROM WHICH WE EAGERLY WAIT FOR A SAVIOR, THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. Philippians 3:20

FOR IT IS FOR THIS WE LABOR AND STRIVE , BECAUSE WE HAVE FIXED OUR HOPE ON THE LIVING GOD, WHO IS SAVIOR OF ALL MEN, ESPECIALLY OF BELIEVERS. 1 Timothy 4:10

God’s Salvation for mankind. Salvation for you and me. A Salvation path built upon being reborn into the very person of Christ. Dying to oneself and sin, while abiding in Jesus and His Righteousness. It takes turning away from our old self and old ways and turning toward God and a life of obedience to Holiness. It is surrender and it is giving up things that are not a part of God’s character and Kingdom. It is a choice for Eternity in the presence and love of our Creator and King.

There is another choice that seems to capture many people today, and that is a belief that we as mankind are truly our own salvation. We are able to achieve an amazing existence and life through our amazing intelligence, illumination and oneness with our world. Oneness as a people, a culture, a world, and a universe. One community of existence all striving to be in harmony with each other and nature. God is merely a myth, a false vision, a demented picture of an existence made up in the minds of feeble people….True salvation comes from self. Self awareness, self pleasure, self determination and self rule….as long as your “self” fits the definition of the self driven utopia that those who define it choose it to be. Those elite few who truly see life for all it can be….in their eyes.

Tonight as I contemplate what I have seen in the United States of America over the past several days, I am very sure that our salvation does not lie in the hands of ourselves, or those who lead us. In fact I am amazed at how sad and unwise and complacent we have become. Evil and murder have become the recipients of a self destroying vengeance in killing innocents, burning down people’s hard work, life’s hope, and future dreams. Alas we protest. We protest what we have allowed to fester and grow by our own self focus while ignoring the spiral into where we find ourselves now. We have allowed a smoldering of hatred and anger to douse out the very things that we as mankind should have valued above all else. Loving our God and His Ways, while loving and taking care of each other. God’s children, all of us. Created in His Image. Kingdom citizens regardless of color, culture, language, or place. All of us in Him, and He in us. Generous, Kind, Humble, Gentle Loving…..His. But we must Walk and Live in His ways ! In Goodness and Righteousness. In Love, as God defines Love in His Word.

Jesus is my Salvation, and I pray He is yours as well. Sin rules the world, but it doesn’t have to rule me or you. Give your life to Jesus and live the Salvation of God each and every day. Find your faith and lose the fear that comes without trust and relationship with the Son Of God. Let go of the world and its’ false promises and BE GOD”S !

IT IS BECAUSE OF HIM THAT YOU ARE IN CHRIST JESUS, WHO HAS BECOME FOR US WISDOM FROM GOD-THAT IS OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS, HOLINESS AND REDEMPTION. 1 Corinthians 1:30
