REFLECTING ON THE GIFT OF JESUS THIS GOOD FRIDAY

I woke up early this morning and found myself thinking about the amazing gift that the Father has presented to us all in the life, death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus. When I think of the love that the Father had for us to subject His Son to the suffering that He went through from His trial, to being beaten, to being rejected, and then crucified, it overwhelms me. I weep, knowing that I am so blessed to have His forgiveness and love as a part of my life. He has chosen me as a son, and a citizen of His Kingdom. I have been given a changed heart. My heart is focused on Jesus. He guides me through so many thoughts and challenges each and every day. Where would I be without Him ? What would my life have become had He not opened my heart to Him and showed me the gift of eternal life and freedom in knowing Him as my Lord and Savior ? How would I cope with all the deception and ruthlessness of this world without the strength and faith I have developed by having the foundation of my beliefs and values solidly rooted in Him and His Word ?

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. John 3:16

BUT YOU ARE A CHOSEN RACE, A ROYAL PRIESTHOOD, A HOLY NATION, A PEOPLE FOR HIS OWN POSSESSION, THAT YOU MAY PROCLAIM THE EXCELLENCIES OF HIM WHO CALLED YOU OUT OF DARKNESS INTO HIS MARVELOUS LIGHT. 1 Peter 2:9

The joy for me is that I have received the gift of Salvation and Eternal Life ! I have opened my heart to God, and I have embraced the knowledge and truth that Jesus Is My Life ! I have reached what I call the point of reflection on what my life truly is and is about. I have spent the years working and chasing the temporary things, and through God’s grace and patience with me, along with His blessings, He has provided for me and my family. He has watched me evolve from childish and selfish behaviors into a desire to walk in His Light. To embrace righteousness at a deeper level. Learning that true righteousness comes from my internal being, not my external efforts. Purity and sanctification in my heart….not my church, or it’s beliefs, or its’ structure and missions and practices. Eternal things can be really good in some ways, but they can also keep us from the realization that God wants our heart, not our beliefs and our religious thoughts and activities. Each and every one of us is in the midst of a journey of our heart’s toward maturity and a deeper relationship with God, and we are all at a different point in that journey. Not perfect, but striving to be what and who He wants us to be ! This gift from God is the defining moment of where we are headed. Are we embracing the Gift Of Jesus and opening our heart to God, or are we going about our life as usual, thinking we have all we need, and we have things in control….

TEACH ME YOUR WAY, O LORD, THAT I MAY WALK IN YOUR TRUTH; UNITE MY HEART TO FEAR YOUR NAME. Psalm 86:11

“NOW MAY THE GOD OF PEACE, WHO THROUGH THE BLOOD OF THE ETERNAL COVENANT BROUGHT BACK FROM THE DEAD OUR LORD JESUS, THAT GREAT SHEPARD OF THE SHEEP, EQUIP YOU WITH EVERYTHING GOOD FOR DOING HIS WILL, AND MAY HE WORK IN US WHAT IS PLEASING TO HIM, THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, TO WHOM BE GLORY FOR EVER AND EVER, AMEN.” Hebrews 13:20-21

My celebration for the next few days as I contemplate my Salvation and just how Jesus has impacted my life will focus on Thanksgiving and Hope. I am hopeful that many of my friends who have not found Jesus yet might just be awakened to His love for them. I give heartfelt thanks for my friends and brothers and sisters who do know Him. I pray my family will grow deeper and deeper in their relationships with Him. I lift up this world and especially in these times ask Him to open people’s eyes and ears. Times are changing and many will need to hear the Gospel. The True Gospel. A way to repent, and change how they live and who and what they trust. The love and grace of Jesus Christ, who died for us that WE MIGHT LIVE ! Live in a beautiful relationship with God, focusing on all things good. Seeking His Light and Righteousness, while pushing back the darkness. Find Your Strength In Christ ! Death could not hold Him, nor, if we are in Him. can death overcome or hold us. His resurrection is our gift and path to eternal life. Praise God that we who have Jesus are saved. Our lives are certain. WE ARE HIS ! Isn’t it time for YOU TO SEEK HIM AND GIVE YOUR LIFE TO HIM ? May it be so :) HE IS RISEN/JAA

I HAVE COME INTO THE WORLD AS LIGHT, SO THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN ME MAY NOT REMAIN IN THE DARKNESS. John 12:46

I AM THE LIVING BREAD THAT CAME DOWN FROM HEAVEN. IF ANYONE EATS OF THIS BREAD, HE WILL LIVE FOREVER. AND THE BREAD THAT I WILL GIVE FOR THE LIFE OF THE WORLD IS MY FLESH. John 6:51
