BOW YOUR KNEE BEFORE GOD THE KING

One of the most difficult things to do for all of us is to give up personal control of our life. It seems counter-intuitive to let someone else direct our path when we are constantly told to flourish by our own means. Everything we are in the world is determined by how hard we strive to make things happen. We build our knowledge base throughout our younger years to complete intellectual studies to provide career paths. Our career choice moves us into monetary gain and success and helps build the social networks that move us into relationships. Those relationships may move us into marriage, families, activities, social outings and connection to different communities. These are all good things if taken in their proper perspective. If we look at things from a worldly perspective, life can become filled with a great purpose of focus and activity that elevates one key thing…Me, Myself, and I. I want things for Me. I am so amazing, just look at my accomplishments. All by Myself, I have created an amazing life. It is this type of thinking that leads so many people to leave God out of their lives, and even to question His existence and whether He is real. so, just who is God ?
FOR BY HIM ALL THINGS WERE CREATED, IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH, VISIBLE AND INVISIBLE, WHETHER THRONES OR DOMINIONS OR RULERS OR AUTHORITIES. ALL THINGS WERE CREATED THROUGH HIM AND FOR HIM. Colossians 1:16
GOD IS SPIRIT, AND THOSE WHO WORSHIP HIM MUST WORSHIP IN SPIRIT AND TRUTH. John 4:24
ANYONE WHO DOES NOT LOVE DOES NOT KNOW GOD, BECAUSE GOD IS LOVE. 1 John 4:8
KNOW THEREFORE THAT THE LORD YOUR GOD IS GOD, THE FAITHFUL GOD WHO KEEPS COVENANT AND STEADFAST LOVE WITH THOSE WHO LOVE HIM AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, TO A THOUSAND GENERATIONS. Deuteronomy 7:9
The word of God in the scripture above gives us a pretty clear picture of who He is. He is the Creator of everything in both Heaven, and on the earth, including nations, governments, order, purpose, and process. He also created us ! All of these things were “Through Him and For Him”. Life is not some philosophical idea or scientific phenomenon; Life is created and purposeful. Life and God are centered around His character which has love as it’s foundation. God connects with us through our spirit, which is why in just a physical reality, God in His fullness does not connect for some. It requires a spiritual dimension to plug into. God also supplies us with a relationship that is eternal once we embrace Him, and He provides us all the character and components on how to live our lives. We can see in these words Who God is, and what He has done….the question is HOW DO WE CONNECT WITH HIM AND MAKE HIM THE CENTER OF OUR LIFE ? I believe that God gives us the answer through His Son, Jesus.
FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. John 3:16
AND HE SAID TO ALL, “IF ANYONE WOULD COME AFTER ME, LET HIM DENY HIMSELF AND TAKE UP HIS CROSS DAILY AND FOLLOW ME. Luke 9:23
AS OBEDIENT CHILDREN, DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THE PASSIONS OF YOUR FORMER IGNORANCE, BUT AS HE WHO CALLED YOU IS HOLY, YOU ALSO BE HOLY IN ALL YOUR CONDUCT, SINCE IT IS WRITTEN, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY”.
God did not give His Son to be crucified and beaten so that we could focus on ourselves and continue to live our lives as we always have. HE GAVE JESUS TO US THAT WE MIGHT BE CHANGED ! No more self reliance and self satisfaction. We are to deny ourselves, and take up the things of Christ ! We are to Bow our knee to God and worship Him in obedience. We are to let go of our ignorance and fleshly passions to become Holy, like He is Holy. Sin must die, and we must repent. He is our King, and we must live as He asks us to live. We will walk through the fire of sanctification and cleansing as we move toward Him, and all the things of the world will be burned off of us if we are truly committed to be His. We have to be sanctified and become Holy to exist in His Kingdom ! Our Holiness is created and becomes truly full when He abides in us, and this allows us to SEE HIS FACE, and SEE HIS LOVE FOR US. The really cool part of this is that once you do kneel before Him, you enter His Kingdom and begin to shine His Light into the world through “Who’s you are” and “who you have become”. In this moment you will see all that comes from loving Him. You are complete, yielding fully to His authority, His will, His purpose, His path and His righteousness. Only then can you feel Him alive in you, baptized into all you can be. Jesus loved you enough to die for you, to die in your place….Bow your knee before Him, and begin fully living in the The Kingdom of God. He is ready, are you ? May God show you His fulness and grace.
