ARE YOU READY TO FIND FREEDOM GOD'S WAY ?

1/20/2020

As I have gotten older there are times when I marvel at the absolute love and patience God has with me. Even more amazing is how He has watched me think I was so wise in my youth, and continued that self guided journey even into adulthood. It is truly a shocking moment when you realize that your own version of being free is based on the very things that generally lead us into bondage. There is this false illusion that being free to act and think as you like somehow gives you power and wisdom. In fact, in our world today, especially in Western culture, the mantra being espoused is how important it is to be who you are, and who you want to be. Look out for yourself, and be very sure you feel good and are safe in your own space and belief. As long as you are content, who cares what other people think. If bad things happen to other people, well, that’s just the way it is. All is good if it doesn’t affect me and my world. The problem is, when selfishness and the ability to behave in any way one chooses become common practice, chaos ensues. Things get turned upside down. Justice becomes subjective. Discourse becomes abusive and difficult. Respect for others is lost. Moral decay creeps in, and values become insignificant. Self reign becomes self worship, and finally becomes self loathing….and this is exactly where God does not want us to be. God has always had a plan for mankind, and it is truly time that we stop in our lives and see exactly what God has to say, and where He provides true freedom for our path and future.

NOW THE LORD IS THE SPIRIT, AND WHERE THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS, THERE IS FREEDOM. 2 Corinthians 3:17

I WILL WALK ABOUT IN FREEDOM,FOR I HAVE SOUGHT OUT YOUR PRECEPTS. Psalm 119:45

YOU MY BROTHERS WERE CALLED TO BE FREE. BUT DO NOT USE YOUR FREEDOM TO INDULGE THE SINFUL NATURE; RATHER SERVE ONE ANOTHER IN LOVE. THE ENTIRE LAW IS SUMMED UP IN A SINGLE COMMAND: “LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF”. Galatians 5: 13-14

The truth is that “ True Freedom Requires Us To Seek God, And Follow His Commandments and Instructions For Our Life”. The freedom God gives to us finds it’s joy and reward from giving up our self serving ways to follow His ways. Is it possible to do that ? Here is the good news for all of us ! God provided all of us with the gift of His son, Jesus. Jesus took on our flesh to show us how to live for God in perfection and holiness. Jesus took all of our weakness, and sin, and failure to the Cross, and He died in our place, that we might be free. Free from sin, free from death, and free from separation from His Father. Defeating death, He rose from the grave into eternal life, and if you choose to believe in Him as your Lord and Savior, and give yourself to Him, all the freedom that comes in abiding in Him will show you the joy of eternal life as well. Once you come to Him, He will want you to abide in Him. It is in the abiding that something amazing happens….it is called Repentance. Repentance is when you change. Repentance is when you turn away from your old ways and become a new creation. You become new because you lose the bondage of self and become His. You serve Him, become obedient to Him, and become immersed in His Love for you. You find out how truly free it is to Love your God with all your heart, and you experience the joy and blessings of loving others ! The freedom that you desire in your life is there for you to experience in the fullest, once you see that it lies in His hands. Will you seek it ? God is waiting for you…..all you have to do is ask :) Be free in His Son who died for you, and beckons you to eternal life in Him/JA

BEHOLD, I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK. IF ANYONE HEARS MY VOICE AND OPENS THE DOOR, I WILL COME IN AND DINE WITH HIM, AND HE WITH ME. Revelation 3:20
