FOLLOWING CHRIST REQUIRES A RADICAL REORIENTATION OF ONE'S PRIORITIES AND MORAL VALUES AND A COMMITMENT TO A CHANGED LIFE

ARE YOU WILLING TO MAKE A COMMITMENT TO FOLLOW CHRIST ? It is a question that will become more and more important as time marches forward and mankind continues to see the timeline that God has created moving closer and closer to a culmination of Revelation and The Kingdom Of God’s Final Victory becoming an Existential Reality for Each and Every One Of Us ! For many, life is simply a journey through time. A march through being born, building relationships, experiences, triumphs and defeats, with a culmination in the finality of death itself. The Beginning…The Middle…The End. Then….Nothing? When I see people who believe in this fashion, I am begged to ask them, What Is The Point Of It All ? Is that really and truly the meaning of Life ? JUST EXISTING ? I BELIEVE THAT LIFE HOLDS A LOT MORE THAN THAT ! My initial question should scream out that WE ALL HAVE A CHOICE TO MAKE. IF life is more than simply existing, then what are we focusing on. Can we dare to contemplate our life from a point of Creation and Purpose ? Is everything just about SELF, and further thought meaningless ? GOD MADE IT CLEAR that our most important focus should be on “Loving Him”, and also “Loving Others".” In a world that pitches self pleasure and self importance all the time, Loving God and others first and Foremost is a RADICL REORIENTATION of a person’s priorities for sure ! Pleasure and Self rule at all cost has lead mankind to not only to a dreadfully “Sinful” existence, but has also created an environment where “Fearing God” and the consequences of disobedience and rejection really don’t matter. NOT FEARING GOD IS NOT A CHOICE WE CAN MAKE OR ACCEPT ! Not only is a fear of God crucial to having Faith; it is also an absolute necessity to recognize sin, embrace confession and repentance, build moral values, and ultimately live a CHANGED LIFE ! Is it surprising that Jesus encountered a society that was so lost in self focus that even His Disciples had a hard time understanding His Truth…and they were with Him Every Day ! God himself in their presence, and the “religious leaders” of the time were more interested in rules, power, and self importance than actually seeing and hearing God Himself. God In The Flesh, In Their Presence !!! No wonder we struggle to bring our finite minds to a place of worship and understanding. Our minds reject Christ. Our logic Rejects Christ’s wisdom. Our minds refuse to embrace His Spirit. ONLY in our Hearts will we find God’s Love For Us, because only then can we change our desires and our obedience to His Ways….HE has written them on our hearts as believers.

THE FEAR OF THE LORD IS THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM; ALL THOSE WHO PRACTICE IT HAVE GOOD UNDERSTANDING. HIS PRAISE ENDURES FOREVER. Psalm 111:10

I WILL GIVE THEM A HEART TO KNOW THAT I AM THE LORD, AND THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE AND I WILL BE THEIR GOD, FOR THEY SHALL RETURN TO ME WITH THEIR WHOLE HEART. JEREMIAH 24:7

SOW FOR YOURSELVES RIGHTEOUSNESS; REAP STEADFAST LOVE; BREAK UP YOUR FALLOW GROUND, FOR IT IS THE TIME TO SEEK THE LORD, THAT HE MAY COME AND RAIN RIGHTEOUSNESS UPON YOU. Hosea 10:12

THE END OF THE MATTER; ALL HAS BEEN HEARD. FEAR GOD AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, FOR THIS IS THE WHOLE DUTY OF MAN. Ecclesiastes 12:13

Ponder the Scripture writing from Ecclesiastes shown above for a moment. It was written by King Solomon, deemed to have been a true sage of wisdom and insight. King Solomon HAD IT ALL ! Riches, Pleasures, Things, Power, Adulation, Admiration. He lacked for nothing, and yet in Ecclesiastes He more or less described a life of continually seeing everything as a life focused on self bringing no true joy or completeness. Same old possessions; same old pleasures; same old existence; nothing new under the sun…and he had “ EVERYTHING” a man could desire and acquire from a physical standpoint. His true wisdom was in recognizing that only GOD held the key to a Complete and Fulfilled Life. THE TRUTH IS THAT LIFE IN SELF IS EMPTY AND INCOMPLETE ! When one finds the Love Of Christ and the Gift Of The Gospel, LIFE BECOMES ETERNALLY COMPLETE AND FULFILLED:) Jesus brings us Truth, Priorities, Path, Purpose, Peace, and Rest. We are Not Alone….HE ABIDES IN US AND WE IN HIM. His commandments go from Old Testament Template to a moral clarity and desire to live Righteously the way GOD SAYS ! Not just a “good person”, but a “Godly person".” A person who has had a fundamental CHANGE IN ACTION AND DESIRE. Solid priorities with a “thirst” to become more mature and Share It with everyone he or she meets. Salvation and Forgiveness are truly “Sweet Honey On One’s Lips” as the song Holy Water ( We The Kingdom). so beautifully describes. The speaker and the receiver are both blessed beyond measure:) The beauty of Christianity is found in the fact that JESUS made it possible for us to have a close and complete relationship with God despite our brokenness and with no rules and requirements to check boxes for in order to be saved and reunited. One Choice. Accept The Gift Of The Gospel, It means recognizing the Jesus died in your place for your sins; He was resurrected on the third day and ascended to Heaven to sit at the right hand of the Father; and HE is your Lord and King ! Your Choice ? ‘BELIEVE AND ACCEPT HIS WILL FOR YOUR LIFE.” Surrender your life and will to HIM.

FOR HE IS THE COMPLETE FULNESS OF DEITY LIVING IN HUMAN FORM. AND OUR OWN COMPLETENESS IS NOW FOUND IN HIM. WE ARE COMPLETELY FILLED WITH GOD AS CHRIST’S FULLNESS OVERFLOWS WITHIN US. HE IS THE HEAD OF EVERY KINGDOM AND AUTHORITY IN THE UNIVERSE. Colossians 2: 9-10

BLESSED BE THE GOD AND FATHER OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST ! ACCORDING TO HIS GREAT MERCY, HE HAS CAUSED US TO BE BORN AGAIN TO A LIVING HOPE THROUGH THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST FROM THE DEAD. 1 Peter 1:3

HUMBLE YOURSELVES, THEREFORE, UNDER THE MIGHTY HAND OF GOD SO THAT AT THE PROPER TIME HE MAY EXAULT YOU. 1 Peter 5:5

The world and mankind will always have a contingent of people who Reject God and His Ways. Many will choose Self Rule over Surrender To Christ. Understand the Brevity of the Decision. IT IS LIFE VERSUS DEATH ETERNALLY ! Know that upon your last breath the decision has been SEALED. The Gift of The Gospel is open to ALL ! Your past mistakes, your self trust, your doubt and rejection can ALL be laid at the Foot Of The Cross. Atheist, Agnostic, Religious, Logic, Occult. We all may be different, but we all share the fact we are sinful in some way, shape, or form. None are perfect…but ALL are invited ! The Grace and Mercy of God Awaits You….just don’t wait too long, because Christ Is knocking. WILL YOU SEEK HIM AND ANSWER ?
