DOES YOUR LIFE BEAR WITNESS THAT JESUS IS YOUR KING ?

As a Christian it seems pretty simple to determine one’s beliefs. It can be simple to espouse one’s belief in God, and even a belief that Jesus was actually a person that existed historically on our planet. Many people are able to have an intellectual viewpoint on a God and Creator who had a hand in the world we see around us, although for many, “Science and Creation Theories” like evolution seem like a superior choice. It becomes much harder when one actually contemplates what God’s Word has to say about things, because it forces us to go a lot deeper and encounter God’s Truth vs. mankind’s “Logic” and Fallen Nature. As physical beings at the core, without the intervention of God’s Holy Spirit our minds seem to struggle with a myriad of God Given Truths. At the very core of all these questions is the very essence of THE GOSPEL. Jesus, born of a Virgin, Mary, came to earth as God’s only Son to take the sin of all Mankind unto Himself and DIE FOR US. Jesus, taking our place on a cross, died, that WE MIGHT BE SAVED and brought back into Relationship With The Father. The Gift Is Free, but requires us to surrender; dying to our sinful nature and self and recognize that Jesus did die for us, was buried, but on the 3rd day was Resurrected back to Life ! WE ARE A NEW CREATION. We no longer abide in the Death Of Sin, but instead Abide In Christ and the Eternal Life He Provides To Us As His People. WE are His, and have Salvation unto Eternal Life…..RIGHT ? Hmmm. There seems to be these few Nagging Questions. ARE YOU A NEW CREATION ? ARE YOU ABIDING IN JESUS AND ALLOWING HIM TO ABIDE IN YOU ? IS JESUS YOUR KING ? It is vitally important that we have A Total Clarity on this question, because OUR HEARTS MUST BE HIS ! We Don’t Have To Be Perfect, but WE MUST BE REPENTANT AND DESIRE TO BE LIKE CHRIST. We must confess our failures and truly Desire To Change and leave our Sin behind….understanding that Perfection for us will only come for us when we are Resurrected Spiritually to BE WITH HIM. I’m talking Total Surrender And Obedience To His Will, not our own. A Total Focus , Commitment and Desire To PUT HIM FIRST ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE AND EVERYONE ELSE IN OUR LIVES. A desire to go through the fire and sharpening He Provides to BE His New Creation.

I HAVE BEEN CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST. IT IS NO LONGER I WHO LIVE, BUT CHRIST WHO LIVES IN ME. AND THE LIFE I NOW LIVE IN THE FLESH I LIVE BY FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD, WHO LOVED ME AND GAVE HIMSELF FOR ME. Galatians 2:20

WHOEVER SAYS HE ABIDES IN HIM OUGHT TO WALK IN THE SAME WAY IN WHICH HE WALKED. 1 John 2:6

IF YOU KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS, YOU WILL ABIDE IN MY LOVE, JUST AS I HAVE KEPT MY FATHER’S COMMANDMENTS AND ABIDE IN HIS LOVE. john 15:10

NO ONE WHO ABIDES IN HIM KEEPS ON SINNING; NO ONE WHO KEEPS ON SINNING HAS EITHER SEEN HIM OR KNOWN HIM. 1 John 3:6

Wow ! Ouch ! Leave it to God’s Word to lay down the cold, hard Truth to us ! The message in Scripture is CRYSTAL CLEAR….IF we Abide In Christ, WE LIVE DIFFERENTLY. WE MUST CHANGE, AND MOVE AWAY FROM OUR SIN ! It is a mindset and also a Heart Set that we must Strive For, and it takes commitment and a thirst to understand how to do it, and DESIRE to do it. The truth is, it all comes down to how you SEE yourself. YOUR IDENTITY. IF I see myself as a sinner, standing alone in my struggles and sin, i will always stay in that place. IF I see my Identity As Abiding In Christ and He In Me, I don’t have to stay in my sin, because THAT IS NOT WHO I AM ! CHRIST LIVES IN ME….and I live by FAITH IN HIM. The reality is that our World offers us many things and desires for us to put our efforts and faith in everything except Jesus. Our Pastor at Brave Church gave a powerful teaching on this today, and it was humbling and thought provoking. ( See Brave Church in Ministries I Follow). WHO OR WHAT IS YOUR KING ? Is it Humanism….focus and trust in man’s wisdom ? Is it Materialism….gathering things, the love of Money and its rewards ? Is it Fleshly Pleasure….anything and everything that makes me feel good physically, emotionally and especially sensually. Perhaps Intellectualism….knowledge and being appreciated for one’s intellectual prowess. Perhaps it might even be Religion itself….a focus on denominational or dogmatic superiority…like the Pharisees of Christ’s time period. The point here is that our King Must Be JESUS. WE SERVE AND WORSHIP HIM FIRST AND FOREMOST ! If we are not putting Him First, then We are In Big Trouble. Contemplate a few Scriptures here and let them Soak In nice and deeply.

“NO ONE CAN SERVE TWO MASTERS, FOR EITHER HE WILL HATE THE ONE AND LOVE THE OTHER, OR HE WILL BE DEVOTED TO THE ONE AND DESPISE THE OTHER. YOU CANNOT SERVE GOD AND MONEY.” Matthew 6:24

“NOT EVERYONE WHO SAYS TO ME, ‘LORD, LORD,’ WILL ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, BUT THE ONE WHO DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN. ON THAT DAY MANY WILL SAY TO ME, ‘LORD, LORD, DID WE NOT PROPHESY IN YOUR NAME, AND CAST OUT DEMONS IN YOUR NAME, AND DO MIGHTY WORKS IN YOUR NAME ? AND I WILL DECLARE TO THEM, ‘I NEVER KNEW YOU; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WORKERS OF LAWLESSNESS.’ Matthew 7: 21-23

BUT WHOEVER DENIES ME BEFORE MEN, I WILL ALSO DENY BEFORE MY FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN. Matthew 10:33

I KNOW YOUR DEEDS, THAT YOU ARE NEITHER COLD NOR HOT. I WISH YOU WERE EITHER ONE OR THE OTHER ! SO, BECAUSE YOU ARE LUKEWARM-NEITHER HOT NOR COLD-I AM ABOUT TO SPIT YOU OUT OF MY MOUTH. Revelation 3:15-16

In the Book Of Matthew 13: 24-30, Jesus gives a Parable about Wheat and Tares. It is a Parable that truly brings meaning to the question asked, “Does Your Life Bear Witness That Jesus Is Truly Your King ?” Why is it so important ? BECAUSE JESUS SEES YOUR HEART. HE KNOWS IF HE IS YOUR KING. HE SEES your life and how you live it. HE SEES what you prioritize and What and Who you Worship. If you are counting on going to church and performing for others to see as your ticket into God’s Kingdom then you had best Check Yourself ! Check Your Heart and Motives, because Jesus Does ! PRETTY HARSH….BECAUSE, THE TRUTH HAS TO BE PRONOUNCED ! All of our Eternal Lives count on it. There is no room for falsehood or laziness here. WE ARE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF THE MOST HIGH KING, JESUS CHRIST AND WE MUST ACT ACCORDINGLY SO. I have a Huge Desire and Calling to share the Gospel that All Might Be Saved Into Eternal Life With Christ, and so should every Christian who is reading this:) It is time that our lives Bear Witness To The Glory Of Our King. It is time for ACTION, not just WORDS. I encourage you to Share Jesus and The Gospel everywhere you go, and with everyone who crosses your path. May Jesus Abide in your life Fully, and May You Trust and Rest in Him. HE IS COMING SOON/JAA
