TAKING ON TODAYS GIANTS WHO STAND AGAINST GOD'S TRUTH AND RIGHTEOUSNESS
I have a great group of men that i get together with every Monday morning. We study scripture and get into some pretty deep and profound opportunities to see God and find answers and solutions to many of the things that we are facing in our world today as men, husbands and fathers. We all share many of the same struggles, questions, and hopes, but we are all unique in our circumstances and perspectives. Our ages run from the 30’s to the 80’s ! The best blessing of our group is that we Love each other, Respect each other, and Trust each other. We share a true love for God and have built ourselves a rock solid foundation of Faith and Love upon Jesus Christ as our Lord, Savior and King ! Our discussion point today revolved around a responsibility and need as Men Of God to Stand and Fight to Keep and Take ground for the Kingdom Of God. That means to Stand in the face of Evil and Reject the things which we see harming the Body Of Christ. It means building solid families with our wives. Being Spiritual Leaders. Standing shoulder to shoulder with our wives to build a strong family foundation and build a base of values, truths, and strengths for our children. Putting God and our Families as our first and most important priorities. Being active, open, and available to those we love the most. It also means identifying and taking steps to deal with the things that culture and the world bring directly against God, His Truth, and His Way Of Life. They can be overwhelming, almost Gigantic in their power and size. They create Fear. They create despair. SO BIG AND SO SCARY. God has seen them before. Giants. His people have seen them before. Mere Giants. They stand against OUR PROMISED LAND AND LIFE. Take Heart. Like Joshua and the people with him, we will overcome them !

NOW JERICO WAS SHUT UP INSIDE AND OUTSIDE BECAUSE OF THE PEOPLE OF ISRAEL. NONE WENT OUT AND NONE CAME IN. AND THE LORD SAID TO JOSHUA, “ SEE, I HAVE GIVEN JERICO INTO YOUR HAND, WITH ITS KING AND MIGHTY MEN OF VALOR. YOU SHALL MARCH AROUND THE CITY , ALL THE MEN OF WAR GOING AROUND THE CITY ONCE. THUS YOU SHALL DO FOR SIX DAYS. SEVEN PRIESTS SHALL BEAR SEVEN TRUMPETS OF RAMS’ HORNS BEFORE THE ARK. ON THE SEVENTH DAY YOU SHALL MARCH AROUND THE CITY SEVEN TIMES, AND THE PRIESTS SHALL BLOW THE TRUMPETS. AND WHEN THEY MAKE A LONG BLAST WITH THE RAM’S HORN, WHEN YOU HEAR THE SOUND OF THE TRUMPET, THEN ALL THE PEOPLE SHALL SHOUT, WITH A GREAT SHOUT, AND THE WALL OF THE CITY WILL FALL DOWN FLAT, AND THE PEOPLE SHALL GO UP , EVERYONE STRAIGHT BEFORE HIM…Joshua 6: 1-27

FOR I, THE LORD YOUR GOD, HOLD YOUR RIGHT HAND; IT IS I WHO SAY TO UOU, “FEAR NOT, I AM THE ONE WHO HELPS YOU.” Isaiah 41:13
God made it clear to the people that HE WAS IN CHARGE ! The Giants of that time were always overcome by FAITH AND TRUST IN GOD. The WILL OF GOD always reigned Supreme over everyone and everything that would stand in the way. God wanted and wants His People to FOCUS ON HIM and TRUST HIM with all they face ! Every single “Giant” that we face in our lives, from Culture, to Corrupt Leaders, to Challenges, to Difficulties, to Addictions, to Threats, and most importantly, SIN, are ALL overcome by the Power and Authority of the Name of Jesus and the Blood He Shed for us. Should we notice today that Jesus never really put His Focus and Effort toward a political adversary or specific group, other than to chastise them and teach them when they violated God’s Commandments or tried to add or subtract to or from them ? Jesus came to SHOW MANKIND THE KINGDOM OF GOD, and to SHOW US HIMSELF, OUR ONE TRUE KING:) The world Jesus walked in, our world, was the same then as it is now. Full of “Giants”. Brutal and tyrannical leaders; persecution; slavery; perversion; racist hate; division….but HE CAME TO OFFER SALVATION AND A DIFFERENT LIFE AND FUTURE ! We as people have the CHOICE of a NEW LIFE, reborn in the hope and promise of GOD. A life of Peace and Righteousness. A chance to overcome the world.
THE ONE WHO CONQUERS, I WILL MAKE HIM A PILLAR IN THE TEMPLE OF MY GOD. NEVER SHALL HE GO OUT OF IT, AND I WILL WRITE ON HIM THE NAME OF MY GOD, AND THE NAME OF THE CITY OF MY GOD, THE NEW JERUSALEM, WHICH COMES DOWN FROM MY GOD OUT OF HEAVEN, AND MY OWN NEW NAME. Revelation 3:12

Every day the “Giants” seem bigger. Evil more clear and bold. Should we embrace fear and surrender ? Should we run and hide ? NO, NO, NO ! This is OUR TIME TO STAND AND SHOW OUR TRUST AND FAITH IN GOD !!! It is time to put on our Armor Of God and FIGHT ! SHARE THE GOSPEL ! SHARE TRUTH ! GUARD AND PROTECT YOUR FAMILY ! Jesus came to set us free from sin and the world. Our future is forever with HIM. Our future and hope is Eternal Life in The Kingdom Of God. GET FOCUSED AND COMMITTED. Pursue Jesus. Follow Him. He has called us to THIS TIME and THIS PLACE ! Pull your sword and get ready…..we have some giants to destroy and some walls to flatten….will YOU STAND AGAINST THEM ? ARMOR UP/JAA
