WHEN GOD'S TRUTH BECOMES INCONVENIENT, WE MUST STAND IN THE GAP

As you look around our world today, do you find yourself beginning to feel like TRUTH is becoming inconvenient and at times irrelevant in our lives today ? It seems like we are being spoon fed a “New Normal” mantra by our cultural voice that is HELL BENT on convincing us that the things God tells us in His Word are outdated for our society, or simply wrong. How God created us and how He designed us to think and live should be of paramount focus for every follower of Christ ! A lot of Christendom has seemingly fallen into the lethargic place of “going along to get along”; so very scared to come across as offensive or intolerant that it just seems easier or nicer to let culture walk all over God and His Righteous Ways. Perhaps most egregious in this is the Church itself. Many denominations have utterly dismissed the Scriptures and rejected their inerrant position as representatives of God’s Word. This disconnect allows many basic commandments, laws, and moral values of our faith to be re-defined or frankly misrepresented. Each one of us has our own sins to deal with, but I believe God has made it clear that HE NEVER CHANGES ! Cultural norms ebb and flow, but the basic tenets of God remain ROCK SOLID. When the Church fails to recognize this Truth, it deceives the very Body Of Christ that has put it’s trust in it’s leadership and guidance. Tolerance and Love become acquiescence to Sin and Darkness. Woe unto those who choose this path according to God.

FOR THE WRATH OF GOD IS REVEALED FROM HEAVEN AGAINST ALL UNGODLINESS AND UNRIGHTEOUSNESS OF MEN, WHO SUPPRESS THE TRUTH IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, BECAUSE WHAT MAY BE KNOWN OF GOD IS MANIFEST IN THEM. FOR SINCE THE CREATION OF THE WORLD HIS INVISIBLE ATTRIBUTES ARE CLEARLY SEEN, BEING UNDERSTOOD BY THE THINGS THAT ARE MADE, EVEN HIS ETERNAL POWER AND GODHEAD, SO THAT THEY ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE, BECAUSE ALTHOUGH THEY KNEW GOD, THEY DID NOT GLORIFY HIM AS GOD, NOR WERE THANKFUL, BUT BECAME FUTILE IN THEIR THOUGHTS, AND THER FOOLISH HEARTS WERE DARKENED. PROFESSING TO BE WISE, THEY BECAME FOOLS. Romans 1:18-22

DO NOT BE DECIEVED: GOD IS NOT MOCKED, FOR WHATEVER ONE SOWS, THAT WILL HE ALSO REAP. FOR THE ONE WHO SOWS TO HIS OWN FLESH WILL FROM THE FLESH REAP CORRUPTION, BUT THE ONE WHO SOWS TO THE SPIRIT WILL FROM THE SPIRIT REAP ETERNAL LIFE. Galatians 6:7-8

WHOEVER WALKS IN INTEGRITY WALKS SECURELY, BUT HE WHO MAKES HIS WAYS CROOKED WILL BE FOUND OUT. Proverbs 10:9

DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWAL OF YOUR MIND, THAT BY TESTING YOU MAY DISCERN WHAT IS THE WILL OF GOD, WHAT IS GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE AND PERFECT. Romans 12:2

It should be clear to all of us that we live in an imperfect world. In our flesh we are also imperfect humans. Only through Jesus Christ living in us, and us in Him may we move toward Righteousness. It is a process and a conviction that must rule in our Hearts and Spirit. WE STAND IN THE GAP BETWEEN LIGHT AND DARKNESS. In Christ we are able to overcome darkness, sin, and death. Culture would like to normalize behavior that moves against God’s Truth by trying to convince us that our Choices and Will have no bearing on our relationship with God. Choices have consequences. I remember vividly as a teenager, my Dad asking me why I made a decision to do something that was obviously not wise. My answers were always pretty lame, and I was often chastised and reprimanded,but it didn’t stop My Dad from loving me. His Love set me on the right course toward doing things right ! Our stand in the Gap is there to HELP DEFINE RIGHT FROM WRONG, and do it because out of RIGHTEOUS LOVE AND ADMONISHMENT, GOD”S TRUTH RULES THE DAY:). We MUST STAND FOR GOD, or EVIL will continue to damage all it touches.

DO NOT BE OVERCOME BY EVIL, BUT OVERCOME EVIL WITH GOOD. Romans 12:21

FOR WE DO NOT WRESTLE AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, BUT AGAINST THE RULERS, AGAINST THE AUTHORITIES, AGAINST THE COSMIC POWERS OVER THIS PRESENT DARKNESS, AGAINST THE SPIRITUAL FORCES OF EVIL IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES. Ephesians 6:12

NO WEAPON THAT IS FASHIONED AGAINST YOU SHALL SUCCEED, AND YOU SHALL CONFUTE EVERY TONGUE THAT RISES AGAINST YOU IN JUDGEMENT. THIS IS THE HERITAGE OF THE SERVANTS OF THE LORD AND THEIR VINDICATION FROM ME, DECLARES THE LORD. Isaiah 54:7

The truth for us as Christians today is that WE MUST STAND FOR GOD ! In that Stand, we do it with the hope that those who are deceived might see the Truth in us and our actions. Make no mistake however, there will be those who are simply wicked, and they must be defeated. What I am seeing is a full on push by satan to confuse people into thinking that standing for Truth is mean spirited and unloving. Nothing could be further from the Truth. Remember just who Satan is, and what he wants to accomplish. Destruction, shame, guilt, doubt, murder, to name a few. Satan wants to confuse people’s identity. Satan wants to destroy life; especially innocent life. Satan wants to create chaos in as many ways and areas in our lives as he can. Take a long hard look at what those who worship satan and strive to do his work have in mind for all of us. It’s very clear. Starvation, hopelessness, division, hatred, tribalism, racism, on and on. God created us to have a deep and personal relationship with us. It is our choice, and we can’t take it for granted. Everything I read in God’s Word tells me that I need to be “ ALL IN “ for God’s Kingdom. We can never be “ Lukewarm “. We must be vigilant and prepared to serve our King. Our lives must be focused and constantly growing in maturity and closeness to Jesus, lest we find the Truth becoming “ Inconvenient “. Woe to us if we do. Eternity is a long time indeed. BE Strong. BE Faithful. BE in your Armor, and STAND FOR GOOD. STAND FOR GOD ! BLESSINGS AND STRENGTH/JAA
