WHY A FOCUS ON ETERNAL LIFE WITH CHRIST CHANGES US !

As we look around our world today, it is easy to see that things are changing. Not just changing, but Radically Changing ! Change is a constant thing throughout time, but the key point of change is what the trajectory of the change is, and where it leads us and leaves us. Is the change we see for the better, or worse. Does the change move our lives into things we value, or create chaos and disorder. Are we climbing steps of progress, or declining into confusion and apathy. For every one of us, God makes it very clear how He Feels About Us, and He Defines All The Things That He Desires For Us And Our Lives. GOD LOVES US. When you spend any time in Scripture, it is clear to see that His Principles and Instruction need to Guide Our Lives. It amazes me when I speak to people who think the Bible is mythology or a simple book of stories how they miss some really obvious truths. From Judicial process, to healthy lifestyle, to disease, to relationships and trust, and a whole host of other things, WE ARE WALKING IN GOD’S PRECEPTS WHETHER WE RECOGNIZE IT OR NOT ! Spend some time in Leviticus and Deuteronomy in the Old Testament, and it will open your eyes to just how PERFECTLY God has organized instruction and boundaries that will guide us in wise and prudent ways. Even in the middle of the most Secular Places, GOD IS THERE. GOD ALSO HAS A DESIGN FOR WHO WE SHOULD BE AT THE CORE OF OUR BEING ! How we interact and think and act toward others is our Defining Moment. In His Word, God tells us exactly Who We Are, And How We Should Live.

DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWAL OF YOUR MIND, THAT BY TESTING YOU MAY DISCERN WHAT IS THE WILL OF GOD, WHAT IS GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE AND PERFECT. Romans 12:2

PUT ON THEN, AS GOD’S CHOSEN ONES, HOLY AND BELOVED, COMPASSIONATE HEARTS, KINDNESS, HUMILITY, MEEKNESS, AND PATIENCE, BEARING WITH ONE ANOTHER AND IF ONE HAS A COMPLAINT AGAINST ANOTHER, FORGIVING EACH OTHER; AS THE LORD HAS FORGIVEN YOU, SO YOU ALSO MUST FORGIVE. AND ABOVE ALL THESE PUT ON LOVE, WHICH BINDS EVERYTHING TOGETHER IN PERFECT HARMONY. AND LET THE PEACE OF CHRIST RULE IN YOUR HEARTS, TO WHICH INDEED YOU WERE CALLED IN ONE BODY. AND BE THANKFUL. LET THE WORD OF CHRIST DWELL IN YOU RICHLY, TEACHING AND ADMONISHING ONE ANOTHER IN ALL WISDOM, SINGING PSALMS AND HYMNS AND SPIRITUAL SONGS, WITH THANKFULNESS IN YOUR HEARTS TO GOD. Colossians 3: 12-17

Our world today is so in need of the things that the Colossians verses tell us. Sadly in a lot of places, these things have been rejected. The world is a tale of two realities…..good people, good motives, striving to help others and embrace love and kindness. Sadly also full of violence and pride leading to a complete lack of morality and love, as a wave of destruction and selfish power crashes down on different nations and people. From the seething conflict of war, to the pumping of rhetoric of hate and division toward your fellow neighbors no matter where you are, IT IS TIME TO LET GO OF THESE WORLDLY THINGS AND EMBRACE OUR TRUE LIFE THAT IS NOT TEMPORARY, BUT IS ETERNAL ! ETERNAL LIFE. LIFE THAT NEVER ENDS ! Have you stopped and given yourself time to contemplate that ? Have you pulled back the curtain and given pause to what that means for you ? If you are a person who simply believes that “this worldly life” is all there is, and things just end, I implore you to think again ! Let your mind take a break from “intellect” and consider that YOU and EVERYTHING AROUND YOU didn’t just pop into being and reality. YOU AND ALL YOU ARE WAS PLANNED OUT AND CREATED BY A MAJESTIC AND ALL POWERFUL GOD ! His plan does not have you simply turning to dust as the world plods ever forward. HE made YOU to be in relationship with Him and WITH HIM for Eternity:) .

YOU ALONE CREATED MY INNER BEING. YOU KNITTED ME TOGETHER INSIDE MY MOTHER. I WILL GIVE THANKS TO YOU BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN SO AMAZINGLY AND MIRACULOUSLY MADE. YOUR WORKS ARE MIRACULOUS, AND MY SOUL IS FULLY AWARE OF THIS. Psalm 139: 13-14

FOR WE ARE HIS WORKMANSHIP, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS FOR GOOD WORKS, WHICH GOD PREPARED BEFOREHAND, THAT WE SHOULD WALK IN THEM. Ephesians 2:10

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHOULD NOT PERISH BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. John 3:16

AND THIS IS ETERNAL LIFE, THAT THEY KNOW YOU THE ONLY TRUE GOD, AND JESUS CHRIST WHOM YOU HAVE SENT. John 17:3

A Kingdom Principled Life exists for only ONE PURPOSE. He has given me the purpose and honor despite all my faults and human frailties to GLORIFY HIM, by helping others to SEE HIM and SEEK HIM. To PROCLAIM HIM as the most Loving and Incredible GOD. I know that I spent and at times spend my time and efforts on things that are worldly. Taking care of ourselves and our family and friends is a Good Thing….but we have to keep our true FOCUS ON GOD ! I know that my life has time limits. I know that this world has time limits. I KNOW WHERE I WANT TO SPEND ETERNITY. I LONG FOR ETERNAL LIFE BECAUSE I WANT TO BE WITH JESUS WITH ALL OF MY HEART ! I’m not afraid of death, because I am His. JESUS CHRIST HAS CHANGED ME, and He WILL CHANGE YOU if you give your life to Him. Heaven and Hell are real places. Eternity does mean Forever. There is a battle going on for Your Soul….and the choice and consequences of your acceptance or rejection of Jesus Christ and The Gospel will BE YOUR FUTURE. ETERNALLY. I have experienced so much Joy, and Peace in Jesus, and my prayer is that You Will Find It As Well:). Check where you want to be in the end. Check where your focus is if you know Jesus already. EMBRACE CHRIST AND THE ETERNAL LIFE THAT AWAITS :) HE is waiting for you…. EMBRACE JESUS AND YOUR ETERNITY/JAA
