WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR ? JESUS AND HIS MERCY ARE WAITING FOR YOU RIGHT NOW !
I have been thinking a lot lately about how truly blessed I am to have Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. It is such a Huge and Important part of Who I Am, and How I Live. I am able to Live In The Mercy And Grace Of Jesus, and Be Free From Sin And It’s Crushing Consequences ! Free ! Loved ! Forgiven ! Saved ! Redeemed ! Reborn ! In Jesus I can live with confidence that I have the Holy Spirit in My Life and with Obedience and His Help can grow into the Holiness that God wants me to become as a man. The key here is that I AM GROWING INTO A PLACE OF CONSECRATION AND HOLINESS ! On my own, I still struggle at times, but I am striving to BE LIKE CHRIST ! I realized fully that on my own, I am unable to meet these goals. Temptation walks in, and sin follows shortly thereafter….but, once I gave my life to Christ, HIS MERCY AND LOVE FOR ME TOOK OVER:) My desires changed, and I KNEW that Jesus was my High Priest; a mediator between ME and GOD THE FATHER that had healed and sealed my relationship with Him for all time ! Our pastor at Brave Church spoke about this in his sermon this morning. In the book of Hebrews, Jesus is recognized as Our High Priest. In the Jewish faith, the High Priest served as a mediator between the people and God, presenting sacrifices to cover their sin. These sacrifices covered their sins for a time, but never completely cleansed them. Jesus died on the cross to CLEANSE US FROM SIN FOR ALL TIME. Our sins are forgiven for eternity. YOUR RELATIONSHIP with Jesus determines YOUR FUTURE. Freedom and Grace, or Sin and Separation,
AND WE HAVE SEEN AND TESTIFY THAT THE FATHER HAS SENT HIS SON TO BE THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD. 1 John 4:14
HE IS THE PROPITIATION FOR OUR SINS, AND NOT FOR OURS ONLY BUT ALSO FOR THE SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD. 1 John 2:2
IF WE CONFESS OUR SINS, HE IS FAITHFUL AND JUST TO FORGIVE US OUR SINS AND TO CLEANSE US FROM ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. 1 John 1:9
Jesus came to earth to live as a man for one purpose. He came to show us His Father’s Grace and Mercy. He came to show us The Kingdom Of God. He came to die for our sins; take our place so that we would be forgiven our iniquity and have relationship with GOD. He became a man so that we could relate to Him, and He could live the same life as us, but in Perfection. Jesus was tempted. Jesus saw and experienced suffering. Jesus went through all the same raw emotions that we have, and yet, He Was Also God. He shows us the picture of relationship with the Father Himself. All that we struggle with in our lives, Jesus has overcome. The gift of the gospel for us is that Through Christ, we can overcome as well. Looking at the world today and all the struggles going on, I can’t imagine not having my trust in God, and yet, so many people reject Him. Our churches struggle to teach, accept, and Glorify His Name. Cultural correctness seems to be more important than believing in and living out God’s Word and His Ways. As the world spins out of control, we focus on personal pleasure, avoidance of reality, or get sucked into the divisiveness of perpetual news and argumentation. As God waits for us to BE HIS. WHERE DO YOU FIND YOURSELF IN THIS MOMENT ? Alone ? Self Centered ? Happy ? Lost ? God is WAITING FOR YOU, with MERCY AND GRACE.
OH GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD, FOR HIS STEADFAST LOVE ENDURES FOREVER. Psalm 107:1
LET US THEN WITH CONFIDENCE DRAW NEAR TO THE THRONE OF GRACE, THAT WE MAY RECEIVE MERCY AND FIND GRACE TO HELP IN THE TIME OF NEED. Hebrews 4:16
KNOW THEREFORE THAT THE LORD GOD IS GOD, THE FAITHFUL GOD WHO KEEPS COVENANT AND STEADFAST LOVE WITH THOSE WHO LOVE HIM AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, TO A THOUSAND GENERATIONS. Deuteronomy 7:9
Have you given your Life To Jesus ? His Steadfast Love and Mercy are yours for the taking. He knocks at the door of your life and waits. He waits patiently, but at some point HE WILL RETURN, and for those who delayed to see and seek Him, time will sadly run out…. Seek Jesus in Scripture. Seek Jesus at a church that talks about Him and Teaches His Word. Seek groups of people who are His and ask questions. Fellowship. Seek to learn the truth and see His Grace in others. The key is to APPROACH HIM ! Jesus knows what suffering is. Some times suffering helps us to see him, and it also matures us. Life can only be complete when you are His. His Mercy is like no other, for HIS MERCY GIVES US ETERNAL LIFE. So, What are you waiting For ? DRINK IN HIS WONDERFUL MERCY/JAA
