IS YOUR LIFE A WITNESS FOR CHRIST ? IT NEEDS TO BE !

What does it mean to be a Christian ? On the surface, it seems like a pretty simple answer, but in Truth, it is actually a much deeper discussion than just an answer. A true Christian is way beyond the simplicity of a held belief or set of dogma or even having grown up in a Christian denominational family. Christianity is a belief in the True Gospel Of Jesus Christ. What the Gospel teaches us is that we are sinners, and on our own, we are dead in that sin. Fortunately God sent His Only Son, Jesus, to take on all our sin and die on the cross that WE MIGHT BE SAVED ! It requires us to recognize our sin, confess it, and be reborn in the saving grace of Jesus. We die to self. We are made anew. We give ourselves to Jesus as our Savior, Lord, and King.

TRULY , TRULY, I SAY TO YOU, WHOEVER HEARS MY WORD AND BELIEVES HIM WHO SENT ME HAS ETERNAL LIFE. HE DOES NOT COME INTO JUDGEMENT, BUT HAS PASSED FROM DEATH TO LIFE. John 5;24

THAT IF YOU CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH , “ JESUS IS LORD”, AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, YOU WILL BE SAVED. FOR IT IS WITH YOUR HEART THAT YOU BELIEVE AND ARE JUSTIFIED, AND IT IS WITH YOUR MOUTH THAT YOU CONFESS AND ARE SAVED. Romans 10: 9-10

It is an incredible choice to give your life to Christ ! It is a redefining moment in who and whose you are. It sets you on a path toward a life of abiding in Christ. It propels you to a life of humility and obedience in serving your King. It REQUIRES A CHANGE IN WHO YOU ARE AND HOW YOU LIVE ! It is way more than simply making a statement of belief. IT MEANS YOU HAVE TO BE CHRISTLIKE. FOLLOWING AND FULFILLING GOD’S PERFECT INSTRUCTION AND COMMANDMENTS. LIVING THEM AND FULFILLING THEM JUST AS JESUS DID….and you can, because Jesus and The Holy Spirit live within you ! Many people think that Jesus “ fulfilled the commandments”, so they don’t matter or count anymore. In Hebraic language, “Fulfill” means to “live out”. Jesus came to show us how to live in the fulness and richness of God’s character and ways.

AND BY THIS WE KNOW THAT WE HAVE COME TO KNOW HIM, IF WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. WHOEVER SAYS “I KNOW HIM”, BUT DOES NOT KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS IS A LIAR, AND THE TRUTH IS NOT IN HIM, BUT WHOEVER KEEPS HIS WORD, IN HIM TRULY THE LOVE OF GOD IS PERFECTED. BY THIS WE MAY KNOW THAT WE ARE IN HIM: WHOEVER SAYS HE ABIDES IN HIM OUGHT TO WALK IN THE SAME WAY IN WHICH HE WALKED. 1 John 2: 3-6

Are you walking in Him ? Are you focused on the right things and priorities in your life ? I can guarantee you that for sure, even though you are His, as a man or a woman, you will make mistakes and sin. You will fall down. The key is getting back up, recognizing your sin, confessing it, and repenting ! Repenting in all you are, and in your heart wanting and needing to be better and complete ! IT IS SO IMPORTANT THAT WE LIVE OUR LIVES IN A WAY THAT MAKES US A WITNESS FOR JESUS. PEOPLE AROUND US SEE THAT WE ARE DIFFERENT. CHANGED. RENEWED AND REBORN. If you are still living your old lifestyle with the desires that the “World” values, then you are a believer at RISK ! Don’t be lost in the false teaching of prosperity and doing whatever you want. Jesus made it clear in His Word that He does not recognize “LUKE WARM” effort. Jesus has made it clear that there are some that He will not recognize.

“ I KNOW YOUR WORKS: YOU ARE NEITHER COLD NOR HOT. WOULD THAT YOU WERE EITHER COLD OR HOT ! SO, BECAUSE YOU ARE LUKEWARM AND NEITHER COLD OR HOT, I WILL SPIT YOU OUT OF MY MOUTH. Revelation 3: 15-16

NOT EVERYONE WHO SAYS TO ME ‘LORD, LORD’ WILL ENTER THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, BUT THE ONE WHO DOES THE WILL OF MY FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN. Matthew 7:21

Believing in Jesus is not enough. We need to abide in Him. We need to walk in Him. We need to be a WITNESS in all we are and all we do that others might see Him in and through us. It takes a desire to move away from all that the world tells us is good and makes you successful and important and revered….to being a humble and thankful citizen of The Kingdom Of God. It is a choice. It must be made. It takes effort. It takes trust and faith.

As a follower of Jesus, I know He is coming to us a second time ! I am so looking forward to it ! I don’t know when, but I know we are one day closer. I want to be a witness that brings others into relationship with Him and brings them the hope and promise of Eternal Life ! My hope and prayer is that if you haven’t given your life to Him that you will:) If you have, then make sure you aren’t just a “believer”, but that you are “HIS” , abiding, walking, and witnessing in all that HE IS ! BE A WITNESS/JAA

JESUS SAID TO HIM, “ I AM THE WAY, AND THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE; NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER BUT THROUGH ME. john 14:6
