TIME TO GET BUSY CENTERING YOUR LIFE ON JESUS AND BECOMING DEEPER IN YOUR CONNECTION TO HIM!

As we watch the year 2020 slowly approach an end, is it time to take inventory on where you are in your faith ? Is it time to reflect back on just where you are in your spiritual life ? I believe that now more than ever, this is the case ! 2020 has for many people been an absolutely miserable year. Normal daily life has been interrupted and in many ways changed drastically. We have been pushed and taught to be afraid. Our lives have been locked down and moved into a set of rules and regulations. We have been told that all these things are for the best, If we all work together, we can make it through this pandemic thing, and all will be ok. Is this true ? Is this where our focus should be ? Or, is this time and season taking our mind and heart away from where our focus truly should be ! MY HEART IS SHOUTING OUT THAT MORE THAN EVER BEFORE, I NEED TO BE CENTERED ON MY RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS ! I NEED TO BE DEEP IN GOD’S WORD AND BE GROWING, MATURING, LEADING, AND BECOMING STRONG AND CENTERED IN THE POWER, AUTHORITY, AND LOVE OF THE FATHER ! I NEED TO FEEL THE HOLY SPIRIT IN ME, AND ON ME, GUIDING MY PURPOSE AND MY PATH ! Isn’t that truly what God wants for us….to be set apart from the world. To be sanctified in Christ, and spending our time working to become Centered In Him ! His Character, His Teaching, His Purposes.

THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH AND MY SHIELD; IN HIM MY HEART TRUSTS, AND I AM HELPED; MY HEART EXULTS, AND WITH MY SONG I GIVE THANKS TO HIM. Psalm 28:7

DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWAL OF YOUR MIND, THAT BY TESTING YOU MAY DISCERN WHAT IS THE WILL OF GOD, WHAT IS GOOD, AND ACCEPTABLE, AND PERFECT. Romans 12:2

I HAVE BEEN CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST. IT IS NO LONGER I WHO LIVE, BUT CHRIST WHO LIVES IN ME.AND THE LIFE I NOW LIVE IN THE FLESH I LIVE BY FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD, WHO LOVED ME AND GAVE HIMSELF FOR ME. Galatians 2:20

The 2020 world is telling us to seek self preservation. Lock yourself down and be careful. Don’t gather, don’t worship at your church, be safe and realize that the world has your best interests at heart. It is easier to be remote. You still have contact and it is better than nothing……right ? I FIND MYSELF TORN ! I am a face to face person. I like to be WITH people. When I go to Brave Church and it is full of believers, I FEEL ALIVE IN CHRIST :) My Worship and my Fellowship are ESSENTIAL to me. That is my Choice. You may feel that being remote is a good thing. That is your Choice. NOW COMES THE BIG CHOICE. GET BUSY PUTTING JESUS FIRST IN YOUR LIFE ! Now is the time to build your foundation in Him for what lies ahead. I want to be more mature next year. I want to be a difference maker for God’s Kingdom next year. I want to hear the guidance of the Holy Spirit and literally be in over my head next year as I serve the Lord and Obey His Voice. If you follow Jesus, you know in your heart that you always want MORE. You always want DEEPER. Start planning now how you are going to make 2021 different. MAKE A PLAN, SET YOUR TASKS AND DO IT :) Write it out, Track it, and Be Accountable to Yourself and God.

NOT THAT I HAVE ALREADY OBTAINED IT OR HAVE ALREADY BECOME PERFECT, BUT I PRESS ON SO THAT I MAY LAY HOLD OF THAT FOR WHICH ALSO I WAS LAID HOLD OF BY CHRIST JESUS. BRETHREN, I DO NOT REGARD MYSELF AS HAVING LAID HOLD OF IT YET, BUT ONE THING I DO: FORGETTING WHAT LIES BEHIND AND REACHING FORWARD TO WHAT LIES AHEAD. I PRESS ON TOWARD THE GOAL FOR THE PRIZE OF THE UPWARD CALL OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS. Philippians 3: 12-14

SO THEN, JUST AS YOU RECEIVED CHRIST JESUS AS LORD, CONTINUE TO LIVE YOUR LIVES IN HIM, ROOTED AND BUILT UP IN HIM, STRENGTHENED IN THE FAITH AS YOU WERE TAUGHT, AND OVERFLOWING WITH THANKFULNESS. Colossians 2: 6-7

Our goal is to have Jesus as the CENTER OF OUR LIFE. Our challenge is to spend the time and effort to GO DEEPER IN OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. Jesus makes it clear that WE have to die to ourselves, our own ways, and our own priorities and be REBORN IN HIM. 2021 will bring what it brings…..but 2021 can be YOUR year to let go of the fears, challenges, and distractions that life puts on us, and instead SEEK CHRIST. IT ALL STARTS IN YOUR HEART….AND YOUR DESIRES. I pray that everyone can feel His Love and Desire for Relationship. He is waiting :) Blessings and Peace/JAA
