COME AND SEE THE TOMB IS EMPTY. NOW, GO AND TELL THE WORLD !

“COME AND SEE. THE TOMB IS EMPTY. NOW, GO AND TELL EVERYONE.” Amazing how these were the words that the Angelic Being sitting at the entrance to the Tomb that held the body of Jesus uttered to the two Marys whom came early that morning to see that He had indeed kept His Promise of Resurrection. How perfect that these two women would be the first to visit the tomb. Women of that time period were not considered the strongest of witnesses and certainly would have been questioned and probably doubted, and yet, they wept with joy because THEY BELIEVED ! Invited by an Angel to “come have a look. SEE ? Jesus was indeed NOT IN THE TOMB !

IN THE END OF THE SABBATH, AS IT BEGAN TO DAWN TOWARD THE FIRST DAY OF THE WEEK, CAME MARY MAGDALENE AND THE OTHER MARY TO SEE THE SEPULCHRE. AND, BEHOLD, THERE WAS A GREAT EARTHQUAKE: FOR THE ANGEL OF THE LORD DESCENDED FROM HEAVEN, AND CAME AND ROLLED BACK THE STONE FROM THE DOOR, AND SAT UPON IT. HIS COUNTENANCE WAS LIIKE LIGHTNING, AND HIS RAINMENT WHITE AS SNOW: AND FOR FEAR OF HIM THE KEEPERS DID SHAKE, AND BECAME AS DEAD MEN. AND THE ANGEL ANSWERED AND SAID UNTO THE WOMEN, FEAR NOT YE: FOR I KNOW THAT YE SEEK JESUS, WHICH WAS CRUCIFIED. HE IS NOR HERE: FOR HE IS RISEN, AS HE SAID. COME, SEE THE PLACE WHERE THE LORD LAY. AND GO QUICKLY AND TELL HIS DISCIPLES THAT HE IS RISEN FROM THE DEAD; AND, BEHOLD, HE GOETH BEFORE YOU INTO GALILEE; THERE YE SHALL SEE HIM: LO, I HAVE TOLD YOU. AND THEY DEPARTED QUICKLY FROM THE SEPULCHRE WITH FEAR AND GREAT JOY; AND DID RUN TO BRING HIS DISCIPLES WORD. Matthew 28:1-8

I find myself sitting in Church….contemplating this incredible scripture. Celebrating Easter. In my own heart, reliving the moment of realization that Jesus had been crucified, was dead and buried. Unlike them, I am reliving the story, not in the moment of the actual event, and yet I can FEEL THEIR ANGST ! Sadness, Fear, Unsure what to do, where to go. Grieving, torn apart, worried, scared. Also,…hopeful, praying for Faith and Trust. And the Marys come rushing in and breathlessly telling you….JESUS HAS RISEN ! HE IS ALIVE ! The amazing presence of an Angel and his strong clear words. HE IS NOT HERE, FOR HE IS RISEN….GO AND TELL HIS DISCIPLES. The beautiful thing about those words is that they are also FOR US, YOU AND ME. And they are words that we can either believe, or we can reject. OUR CHOICE. The thing is, JESUS SAID HE WOULD BE RESURRECTED. JESUS SAID HE WAS INDEED GOD. “ I AM !” There are a lot of other religious beliefs that people follow, but, NOT ONE OF THOSE LEADERS OR FOUNDERS CLAIMED TO “BE GOD".” Not One….except Jesus. Some believe it was all a hoax. His body taken and hidden by His disciples…..but wouldn’t one of them eventually have broken down and confessed ? Would they all have lived their lives for falsehood and gone through untold persecution and suffering for a lie ? Would you ? SO, the only real conclusion that makes sense is….JESUS IS GOD. HE DID DIE FOR OUR TRANSGRESSIONS, AND HE IS RISEN, AND HE IS VERY MUCH ALIVE RIgHt NOW ! THAT TRUTH CHANGES EVERYTHING FOR US.

I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME. John 14:6

AND THAT REPENTANCE FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS SHOULD BE PROCLAIMED IN HIS NAME TO ALL NATIONS, BEGINNING FROM JERUSALEM. Luke 24:47

AND I PRAY THAT THE SHARING OF YOUR FAITH MAY BECOME EFFECTIVE FOR THE FULL KNOWLEDGE OF EVERY GOOD THING THAT IS IN US FOR THE SAKE OF CHRIST. Philemon 1:6

Once we have SEEN THE EMPTY TOMB AND THE HOPE IT BRINGS, can we truly keep it to ourselves ? I don’t think so. We are commanded to GO AND TELL THE WORLD by Jesus Himself. With fear and joy, the Marys ran to tell the disciples, and, like them, it is OUR JOY to share the TRUTH with everyone we meet. For our minds and hearts to contemplate and truly comprehend the SUPERNATURAL POWER of the God We Worship and Were Created By absolutely brings a sense of Fear and Joy. A God So Powerful To Overcome Death…Wow. A God So Loving To Give Eternal Life To Us…Wow ! The beauty of this for us goes way beyond Salvation. WE ARE LOVED ! Loved by an amazing God who has Purposed Us to serve Him and to Share His Mercy, Grace, and Love for all of Mankind. WE SHARE the Foundation and Truth that changes peoples lives. WE SHOW them CHRIST, and the Holy Spirit will lead them to Salvation and Eternal Life. I know that at times Life Seems Overwhelming. Our world seems so difficult and crazy at times. So Many Distractions….BUT OUR FOCUS MUST BE ON CHRIST. WE MUST KEEP OUR EYES AND HEARTS ON HIM, AND WE MUST TELL OTHERS ABOUT HIM…..THAT IS OUR SALVATION AND OUR MIRACLE:). GO SEE THEN TELL EVERYONE/JAA

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONE AND ONLY SON, THAT WHOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. John 3:16
