WHERE HAS THE MORAL COMPASS THAT GUIDES US DISAPPEARED TO ?

Watching the world around us decay into a quagmire of evil and a path of misguided and misdirected actions and belief is surely a difficult thing for people to watch if your soul has any kind of a moral compass. It can be very concerning and quite frankly sickening to watch no matter what your particular viewpoint is, be it secular or spiritual. At the very core of our being there is a basic understanding of right and wrong isn’t there ? I used to think so, but as I look around at the things people do to each other, say to each other, and value as important in their lives, I believe that something has been lost. In fact, many things have been lost, but to me what it really comes down to is the essential belief in God our Creator, His character and principles, and OUR DESIRE TO HAVE HIM AS OUR LORD AND SAVIOR. If our focus is not on God and HIS FOUNDATIONAL ˝GOODNESS, the door is wide open for a free for all of SELF RULE AND SELF GAIN. AN EXISTENCE IN ULTIMATE SELFISHNESS ! When we begin to reject the TWO MOST IMPORTANT COMMANDMENTS JESUS TEACHES US, WE SPIRAL DOWNWARD AND OUT OF CONTROL. Jesus made it clear to His Disciples and Us, that we should LOVE THE LORD OUR GOD WITH ALL OUR HEART, WITH ALL OUR SOUL, WITH ALL OUR MIND AND WITH ALL OUR STRENGTH, AND TO ALSO LOVE OUR NEIGHBOR AS OURSELVES ( MARK 12: 28-34 ). These basic ways of seeing and living our lives put us on a path where MORALITY IS NECESSARY AND CLEARLY DEFINED. A secular definition prefers to see it from an individual “person” perspective, or a societal understanding, but as we are seeing, societal definition is always open to change, and very vulnerable to “Absolute Power and Corruption born of Greed.” Two very different foundations with very different visions.

DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THIS WORLD, BUT BE TRANSFORMED BY THE RENEWAL OF YOUR MIND, THAT BY TESTING YOU MAY DISCERN WHAT IS THE WILL OF GOD, WHAT IS GOOD, ACCEPTABLE AND PERFECT. Romans 12:12

SHOW YOURSELVES IN ALL RESPECTS TO BE A MODEL OF GOOD WORKS, AND IN YOUR TEACHING SHOW INTEGRITY, DIGNITY, AND SOUND SPEECH THAT CANNOT BE CONDEMNED, SO THAT AN OPPONENT MAY BE PUT TO SHAME, HAVING NOTHING EVIL TO SAY ABOUT US. Titus 2: 7-8

FINALLY BROTHERS, WHATEVER IS TRUE, WHATEVER IS HONORABLE, WHATEVER IS JUST, WHATEVER IS PURE, WHATEVER IS LOVELY, WHATEVER IS COMMENDABLE, IF THERE IS ANY EXCELLENCE, IF THERE IS ANYTHING WORTHY OF PRAISE, THINK ABOUT THESE THINGS. Philippians 4:8

AND THOSE WHO BELONG TO CHRIST JESUS HAVE CRUCIFIED THE FLESH WITH IT’S PASSIONS AND DESIRES. Galatians 5:24

If we choose to follow Jesus, we not only have a rock solid foundation of morality, but we also are “COMMANDED” to walk in that morality, modeling it to the world and everyone we meet. Christians must be different than the world. Christians must “STRIVE” to follow God’s Character and Will in our lives. Failure to do these things will lead us to a place where we are NO DIFFERENT than the world. No Foundation, No Principles, No Truths, and NO COMPASS ! GOD NEVER CHANGES. GOD IS GROUNDED IN ETERNAL TRUTH, WISDOM, AND CHARACTER. GOD IS NEVER CONFUSED OR UNSURE. Perhaps the saddest part of where we find ourselves today is that even the Christian Churches find themselves in Turmoil ! They preach myriads of different Gospels, unable to define sin, not showing the path of confession and repentance, and certainly not FEEDING CHRIST”S SHEEP ! Trying so hard to not offend anyone, they throw away and water down the very things that Jesus made clear are our “ guide stones ” to THE KINGDOM OF GOD ! The church feeds the “beast” of “social acceptance” and in the process shows the entire world the HYPOCRISY OF FALSE BELIEFS AND BEHAVIOR. If that is your church, get out of there ! WE ARE THE SALT AND THE LIGHT. WE SHARE THE HOPE OF AN INCREDIBLY GOOD GOD. WE ARE THE COMPASS BEARERS OF GOODNESS AND LIGHT….or we are NOTHING:(

THEREFORE, PREPARING YOUR MINDS FOR ACTION, AND BEING SOBER MINDED, SET YOUR HOPE FULLY ON THE GRACE THAT WILL BE BROUGHT TO YOU AT THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST. AS OBEDIENT CHILDREN, DO NOT BE CONFORMED TO THE PASSIONS OF YOUR FORMER IGNORANCE, BUT AS HE WHO CALLED YOU IS HOLY, YOU ALSO BE HOLY IN ALL YOUR CONDUCT, SINCE IT IS WRITTEN, “ YOU SHALL BE HOLY , FOR I AM HOLY” 1 Peter 1:13-16

A NEW COMMANDMENT I GIVE TO YOU, THAT YOU LOVE ONE ANOTHER: JUST AS I HAVE LOVED YOU, YOU ARE TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER. BY THIS ALL PEOPLE WILL KNOW THAT YOU ARE MY DISCIPLES, IF YOU HAVE LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER. John 13:34-35

HE HAS TOLD YOU, O MAN, WHAT IS GOOD; AND WHAT DOES THE LORD REQUIRE OF YOU BUT TO DO JUSTICE, AND TO LOVE KINDNESS, AND TO WALK HUMBLY WITH YOUR GOD. Micah 6:8

Our moral compass is clear if we follow Jesus and “walk” in Him. We can do these things if we “Abide In Him” ! Jesus must be our FOUNDATION. In Him we will see what is right and what is wrong. Once we have those TRUTHS, WE MUST STAND FOR THEM, AND SHARE THEM WITH EVERYONE. Make no mistake that we are in a battle that has been going on from the very beginning of mankind and our Adversary Is Not Going To Let Up On Spewing Lies And Seeking Destruction. WE CARRY GOD”S TRUTH AND LIGHT. Will we seek to hand over our lives to those in society who would seek to control us and enslave us, or will we SEEK GOD AND STAND FOR HIS KINGDOM AND PURPOSE ? CHOOSE ! IT”S TIME TO ARMOR UP. HIS WAYS/JAA
