THE CLEANSING POWER OF THE BLOOD OF CHRIST

The cleansing power of the blood Jesus shed on the cross for us should be a monumental focus of our life and faith as followers of Christ. It is THE MOST IMPORTANT THING WE HAVE RECEIVED as we contemplate our Salvation and Forgiveness in my opinion. Unlike the process in the Mosaic Covenant, the Blood Of Jesus “ Cleanses Us Completely from our Sin”. It cleanses us from our past sin, our present sin, and our future sin as well. Unlike in the days of Moses where animals were sacrificed for “covering” sin for a short period of time, our cleansing is permanent. Over and over, the Jewish people would present themselves to the High Priest with animals to sacrifice both individually and corporately. When I contemplate that process, it must have been overwhelming. How incredible that God The Father sent His Son Jesus as the Last and Complete sacrifice for ALL THE SIN OF THE WORLD ! An incredible GIFT, with the promise of a true and personal relationship with a Lord and Savior that would present us as “Clean and Righteous” to God The Father by our acceptance of Jesus as our Savior, and a belief that He indeed died for us and ascended to Heaven on the third day to sit at the Right Hand of the Father !

FOR THE LIFE OF THE FLESH IS IN THE BLOOD, AND I HAVE GIVEN IT FOR YOU ON THE ALTAR TO MAKE ATONEMENT FOR YOUR SOULS , FOR IT IS THE BLOOD THAT MAKES ATONEMENT BY THE LIFE. Leviticus 17:11

HOW MUCH MORE WILL THE BLOOD OF CHRIST, WHO THROUGH THE ETERNAL SPIRIT OFFERED HIMSELF WITHOUT BLEMISH TO GOD, PURIFY OUR CONSCIENCE FROM DEAD WORKS TO SERVE THE LIVING GOD. Hebrews 9:14

IN HIMWE HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, THE FORGIVENESS OF OUR TRESPASSES, ACCORDING TO THE RICHNESS OF HIS GRACE. Ephesians 1:7

So as we contemplate this incredible Gift, many things come to mind that we should realize and focus on. WE ARE FREE FROM SIN ! Jesus took that on for us. That FREEDOM should literally fill us with Humility and Gratitude beyond measure, Jesus tells us that when we give our lives to Him, we exchange the “Weight “ of our own struggles and a heavy Yoke of trying to be in command of our own lives and circumstances , to a light Yoke. We put our burdens on Him, and TRUST HIM to walk beside us and help us with our lives in every single circumstance and struggle. Jesus takes away our continual struggle of trying to fix ourselves ! Our perfection lies in our abiding in Him and He in us, because He Has Made Us Perfect ! I think we spend so much time trying to monitor and manipulate our behavior that we can become overwhelmed with our own failed efforts. Our STRENGTH LIES IN HIM. Alone, we are nothing. Alone we are subject to the harassment of Satan, Guilt, Shame and Doubt. It is important that we KNOW that Satan has no power over us once we are IN CHRIST. His voice and accusations mean nothing, because Jesus constantly intercedes and prays for us. WE ARE KINGDOM CITIZENS, SERVING THE MOST HIGH KING, JESUS.

HE HIMSELF BORE OUR SINS IN HIS BODY ON THE TREE, THAT WE MIGHT DIE TO SIN AND LIVE TO RIGHTEOUSNESS. BY HIS WOUNDS YOU HAVE BEEN HEALED. 1 Peter 2:24

PAY CAREFUL ATTENTION TO YOURSELVES AND TO ALL THE FLOCK, IN WHICH THE HOLY SPIRIT HAS MADE YOU OVERSEERS, TO CARE FOR THE CHURCH OF GOD, WHICH HE OBTAINED WITH HIS OWN BLOOD. Acts 20:28

THERE IS THEREFORE NOW NO CONDEMNATION FOR THOSE WHO ARE IN CHRIST JESUS. Romans 8:1

No Condemnation. Amazing. But we DO HAVE PURPOSE IN OUR SALVATION ! We are to watch over His Church ! We are to be stewards of the Gospel, sharing the message of Salvation and Freedom from the slavery of Sin. We are to be the Light into the world that fails to see the Power and Authority of God. We must SHOW the world how to walk in the ways of God, and model the morality and ways of life that Jesus has written on our hearts. We must stand for Righteousness and fight the battle against darkness and despair, We live in the Power and Hope that cleanliness has given us. In Jesus, we must seek the Kingdom of God, and truly bring the Joy and Hope that our Faith has given to us in the Blessings we have received. Many will reject this message and path, but to those who embrace it, LIFE ETERNAL awaits. SEEK JESUS. BE CLEANSED. LIVE FREE. SHARE THE GOSPEL. MAKE DISCIPLES. Could there be any higher purpose ?
