IT IS TIME TO SEEK A DEEPER FAITH IN GOD

Every day I find myself wondering what might be coming at us next as Christians. No matter where you live in this world, challenges that seemed at most very remote, are now in our vision, front and center. Pandemic, vaccine, regime change, constitutional attacks, persecution of worship ( nothing new to many ), job threats, financial threats, livelihood threats. So many parts of our lives feel threatened or out of place. TIMES LIKE THESE ARE WHEN FAITH IN GOD BECOMES CRITICAL ! Can you imagine how much FAITH it took for Abraham to leave Babylon, then climb a mountain and offer his son’s life to God ? How about Moses standing up to Pharaoh to gain the release of his people, then asking God to part the Red Sea for an ultimate life or death escape. David, the shepherd boy who would be King, facing a Giant adversary with a rock and sling. Joshua watching the walls of Jericho fall simply by following God’s instructions.Mary, Rahab, Samuel, Gideon, Samson, Elijah, Enoch….and so many more. The commonality in these people is that they all put their FAITH in God when they faced challenging circumstances ! They put their trust in themselves aside and asked for God to help and keep them….and God answered them.

TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND DO NOT LEAN ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. IN ALL YOUR WAYS ACKNOWLEDGE HIM, AND HE WILL MAKE STRAIGHT YOUR PATHS. Proverbs 3:5-6

AND WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM, FOR WHOEVER WOULD DRAW NEAR TO GOD MUST BELIEVE THAT HE EXISTS AND THAT HE REWARDS THOSE WHO SEEK HIM. Hebrews 11:6

SO FAITH COMES THROUGH HEARING, AND HEARING THROUGH THE WORD OF GOD. Romans 10:17

NOW FAITH IS THE ASSURANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR,THE CONVICTION OF THINGS NOT SEEN. Hebrews 11:1

How about our lives, yours and mine ? Are we trusting in the Lord for wisdom and discernment so that we can navigate the challenges and experiences that come our way ? I am trying. I am working on it. The older I get, the more I realize that in myself I don’t have all the answers or ability to deal with all that comes at me. Even in all my imperfection and sin, GOD IS THE CENTER OF MY LIFE AND WHO I AM. I strive to be obedient and seek Him. I spend time in HIS WORD and always wish every day I had spent MORE TIME. He exists in my mind, my soul, my heart and MY SPIRIT. HE IS MY IDENTITY. CHRIST IS MY HOPE AND JOY AND PEACE. HE IS ALSO MY ROCK ! I trust Jesus with my life and everything that is dear to me. The more I seek Him, the better my understanding of Faith becomes. OUR LIVES WERE BOUGHT WITH A HUGE PRICE TO OUR CREATOR. HIS SON DIED FOR OUR SIN ! If you are living your life without God, or He is on a shelf or He is an afterthought, it just might be time for you to LOOK up and see His Face; LISTEN intently and hear His Voice, and SEEK His Love and Guidance in your life.

FOR BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED THROUGH FAITH. AND THIS IS NOT YOUR OWN DOING; IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD. Ephesians 2:8

THAT YOUR FAITH MIGHT NOT REST IN THE WISDOM OF MEN BUT IN THE POWER OF GOD. 1 Corinthians 2:5

I HAVE BEEN CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST. IT IS NO LONGER I WHO LIVE, BUT CHRIST WHO LIVES IN ME. AND THE LIFE I NOW LIVE IN THE FLESH I LIVE BY FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD, WHO LOVED ME AND GAVE HIMSELF FOR ME. Galatians 2:20

Here we are. Facing giants. Facing major obstacles. Avoiding dangers and threats. Facing strong men and their dictates and rules. Looking for a safe place to be. Whatever the challenge YOU ARE FACING, God has seen it before, and HE IS BIGGER THAN IT ! We need to be IN HIS WORD, and have our Faith to carry us forward. COMPLETE TRUST IN HIM ! We are facing some major challenges in all the different places that we live. NO ONE is unique in being apart from struggle in some part of their life. The Key is to be BUILDING FAITH IN GOD. Scripture gives us strength and purpose and path. Faith is our SHIELD and answer when harmful things come our way. GOD IS OUR PROTECTION AND OUR ANSWER. Build your faith. Seek God, Memorize His Word. PUT ON YOUR ARMOR CHRISTIAN AND REALIZE THE HOUR IS LATE. Most of all feel His Love and Care for you….and know that in your FAITH, God will help you deal with anything and everything. BUILD FAITH/JAA
