HOW IMPORTANT IS PRAYER IN YOUR WALK WITH GOD ?

If there is one thing that has become a clear focus in my walk with God, it is Prayer. I think that a personal relationship with God is all about talking to Him, and hearing His responses. Prayer has many facets, but for me personally, Prayer seems to be most powerful when i am praying for others. Reaching out to God in intercession for others in need truly brings forth our duty to love others ! Taking the time to look outside of ourselves and strive to see the needs of others is exactly where God wants our hearts. It is so easy to focus on ourselves and our needs. Our needs are surely important, but seeking God for others helps us move past our world to see into others. Praying for our Christian brothers and sisters in other parts of the world brings us critical fellowship and understanding in what other Christians are facing. America definitely has its share of issues, but when I see the persecution, danger and pain that so many people in other countries face daily, I realize how VITAL it is to pray for their protection and faith. Jesus is our Shepard who watches over us at all times, interceding on our behalf with the Father. Likewise, when we walk in Jesus, our prayer for others is very much guiding us toward a heart for their lives and needs.

FIRST OF ALL , THEN, I URGE THAT SUPPLICATIONS, PRAYERS, AND INTERCESSIONS, AND THANKSGIVINGS BE MADE FOR ALL PEOPLE. 1 Timothy 2:1

REJOICE IN HOPE, BE PATIENT IN TRIBULATION, BE CONSTANT IN PRAYER. Romans 12:12

AND SO, FROM THE DAY WE HEARD, WE HAVE NOT CEASED TO PRAY FOR YOU, ASKING THAT YOU MAY BE FILLED WITH THE KNOWLEDGE OF HIS WILL IN ALL SPIRITUAL WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING, SO AS TO WALK IN A MANNER WORTHY OF THE LORD, FULLY PLEASING TO HIM, BEARING FRUIT IN EVERY GOOD WORK AND INCREASING IN THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD. MAY YOU BE STRENGTHENED WITH ALL POWER, ACCORDING TO HIS GLORIOUS MIGHT, FOR ALL ENDURANCE AND PATIENCE WITH JOY, GIVING THANKS TO THE FATHER, WHO HAS QUALIFIED YOU TO SHARE IN THE INHERITANCE OF THE SAINTS IN LIGHT. Colossians 1: 9-12

How amazing is it that prayer for others not only helps them in their lives, but also opens our eyes to God’s wisdom and helps us SEE HIS WILL FOR OUR LIVES AS WELL ! The deeper I get in Jesus the more I desire to do His Will in my life. That separation of self need to a surrender to His Will is definitely something that is a constant work in progress. Maturity seems to move us from praying for materialistic things to more focus on Purpose and Path. Finding where our focus on life should be in prayer will surely open our eyes to move beyond worldly purpose to Godly Purpose. A heart that seeks God’s voice and guidance will ultimately lead to a place where one is bearing fruit for THE KINGDOM OF GOD. God created us to be in constant relationship with Him. God created each of us with a plan in mind. God made us as men and women with specific roles and purpose in mind. Our individual prayer makes us better men and women; better spouses; better mothers and fathers; better leaders; better friends; better people; better servants to God’s Kingdom. Prayer strengthens us and helps us endure challenges while gaining understanding and wisdom. PRAYER IS ALL POWERFUL IN OUR WALK WITH GOD !

I CRIED TO HIM WITH MY MOUTH, AND HIGH PRAISE WAS ON MY TONGUE. Psalm 66:17

THEREFORE, BROTHERS, SINCE WE HAVE THE CONFIDENCE TO ENTER THE HOLY PLACES BY THE BLOOD OF JESUS, BY THE NEW AND LIVING WAY THAT HE OPENED FOR US THROUGH THE CURTAIN, THAT IS, THROUGH HIS FLESH, AND SINCE WE HAVE A GREAT PRIEST OVER THE HOUSE OF GOD, LET US DRAW NEAR WITH A TRUE HEART IN FULL ASSURANCE OF FAITH, WITH OUR HEARTS SPRINKLED CLEAN FROM AN EVIL CONSCIENCE AND OUR BODIES WASHED WITH PURE WATER. Hebrews 10: 19-22

I CALL UPON YOU, FOR YOU WILL ANSWER ME, O GOD; INCLINE YOUR EAR TO ME;HEAR MY WORDS. Psalm 17:6

Take time to cry out to God. We truly need to realize the POWER that we wield when we come to our Lord and King in prayer. Jesus died for us that we might embrace the Father in a deep and abiding relationship, just as we abide in Jesus Himself and He in us. The Holy Spirit will help us in all ways in our walk, and especially in our prayer life. Our deepest thoughts and needs are often expressed most deeply when the Holy Spirit cries out for us in a way that we often can’t understand in our fleshly state of being. I know that MIRACLES COME FROM PRAYER. I know that HOPE COMES FROM PRAYER. I know that UNDERSTANDING, DISCERNMENT, and WISDOM COME FROM PRAYER. GOD”S PEACE AND PRESENCE IN OUR LIVES COMES FROM PRAYER ! As you grow and mature in your walk with God and the faith and trust it brings you, make PRAYER the most important part of each and every day in your life. May that focus bring you Blessings and Joy ! PRAISE HIM/JAA

YOUR KINGDOM COME, YOUR WILL BE DONE, ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN. Matthew 6:10

Thank you Lord for your love for us. Thank you for the gift of your Son. May we walk in a way that glorifies you, and may we grow deeper in our desires to serve You and Your Kingdom. Amen
